They add up to 1,000 lbs of support at 50-percent compression to help your factory suspension stay steady. The springs compress progressively—soft and smooth when lightly loaded, then firming up as weight increases—so your ride stays comfortable while your handling, steering, and braking stay consistent.
Bumps and dips don’t need to shake your load around. The microcellular urethane material cushions impacts and acts like a shock absorber, settling down road vibration and bounce. As the load gets heavier, the springs can compress by as much as 80 percent to shoulder the extra weight. That keeps the truck from bottoming out and helps even out the load across both axles for safer, smoother driving.
When one side of your vehicle hits a dip or you take a sharp corner, each spring works on its own to correct body roll and sway. That independent movement helps maintain balance when carrying uneven loads or when crosswinds try to push you around, so it feels stable and planted no matter what the road throws at you.
These springs don’t just support your load—they’re built to last through tough use. The microcellular urethane resists abrasion, oils, salt, and UV rays, and performs in temperatures from -25 F to 200 F. They expand and compress vertically with minimal side movement, so nearby mechanical parts stay protected in tight spaces. With no air lines or compressors to worry about, they’re completely maintenance-free once installed.
Getting extra support shouldn’t call for special tools or shop time. The kit comes with two jounce-style springs, custom-fit brackets, and hardware that bolt directly to your vehicle—no drilling needed. The optional 1/2-inch spacers make it easy to fine-tune engagement height if you want quicker or later spring contact under load. It’s a straightforward upgrade designed for DIY installation that gets you back on the road fast.

Cant believe its been a year since I installed the SumoSprings. Every time I go around a corner I so appreciate the excellent handling I now have. The Sumos have earned their 5th STAR!

Definitely less moving parts to worry about than airbags :) The install looks great! Are you hitched up in the photo to test out the springs or were you actually on your way to the water?
