  • Will A Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar Help With Stability While Towing with A 2022 Ford Expedition XL
Hey Michael, Adding to or enhancing your suspension would help with body roll and side-to-side movement. When it comes to anti-sway bars you'll want to go with whichever is the thickest. The Hellwig # HE74GR is 7/8" thick so you can measure your factory bar and see if it's thicker. You could also install some Coil SumoSprings # CSS-1168R in the rear and front # CSS-1168F to stiffen up the suspension and also help with load leveling support.

  • Does The Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar HE74GR Fir A 2025 Ford Expedition?
Hello Nick. Sadly, no it does not. The Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar # HE74GR will fit the 2007 - 2024 Ford Expedition. It does not carry over to the 2025-current model. The mounts changed.

  • Suspension Enhancement Options For A 2015 Ford Expedition Experiencing Body Roll While Towing
Air springs offer a more fine-tuned way to help reduce sag since you can adjust the psi level to help offset your trailer's specific tongue weight, whereas the shocks are really only going to help with jarring bumps in the road. Anti-sway bars are also a good option to help prevent body roll with your vehicle. You'll always have a slight amount of sag, even with a weight distribution hitch, but you can typically get within an inch or two of your factory ride height. For the rear anti-sway...

  • Choosing Between SumoSprings and Hellwig Anti-Sway Bar for 2021 Ford Expedition Max
Hey Dan! What are you experiencing when you tow your trailers? If you're getting rear sag with a little bit of body roll I would get the Coil SumoSprings # CSS-1168R for the additional suspension support. If you're primarily getting a lot of side-to-side movement and it feels like you're unstable I would say the Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar # HE74GR is the better choice. I use a 2020 Expedition for towing and the biggest problem for me is rear sag. However, that may be different for you depending...

  • What Causes Trailer Sway Above 50 MPH
Hey Brent, persistent trailer sway at around 50 mph is due to not enough tongue weight in the trailer relative to the total trailer weight. You would need the tongue weight to be between 10 and 15 percent of the total trailer weight to get that type of sway to stop. There are other less likely reasons for the sway as well if the tongue weight is good. It can also be that the nose of the trailer is up too high or that there is a suspension component that is damaged.
