Heavy loads can make the rear of your vehicle sag, throwing off steering, braking, and headlight aim. The Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs add up to 1,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity to keep your ride height where it should be. By fitting right inside your existing rear coil springs, these molded polyurethane air springs share the load with your factory suspension so your vehicle stays level, even when hauling or towing.
Every load is different, and these helper springs adjust to match. You can manually set the air pressure anywhere between 5 psi and 35 psi to balance comfort and support. Inflate both sides equally for even loads or use dual air lines to fine-tune each spring separately for uneven cargo. That flexibility helps keep handling predictable and steering responsive whether the bed is empty or fully loaded.
When bumps or sway start to throw the vehicle around, these air springs take the edge off. By cushioning impacts and reducing suspension strain, they help absorb road shock so you feel fewer jolts through the chassis. With less bounce and sway, the ride stays more stable on highways, winding roads, or when pulling a trailer over uneven pavement.
This kit installs inside your existing rear coil springs using standard tools. It comes with two air springs, two heat shields, tubing, Schrader valves, and hardware so you can route the airlines where you want—often through the bumper for easy access. Add a compressor system later if you’d like automatic inflation control, but even as-is, setup is straightforward and easy to maintain.

I ordered in the evening and the item was in the mail the next day. Easy peasy!
Works great!!
Easy install, works great
Its what. I intended to buy
Price wasn’t bad, delivered quicker than expected. Super easy to install. Works great , my truck no longer sag when pulling my trailer
Straightforward install. Seems to be working for my GX460 and trailing my travel trailer.
easy install. i'm very happy with it.
This is a great product for my needs. Able to pull bigger trailers with my GX460 without significant sag. No problems with loosing air after one year.
Very pleased with this upgrade to out 2016 4Runner . Airlift bags were a breeze to install and work great to omit rear sag !

I have both the Air lift and Timbren Kits on my Gx460. I tow at the maximum rating for the vehicle and with both I can customize the amount of support for the load at the time. The Timbren at max tongue weight does not cushion enough on its own (i use these for lighter loads) but fill the Air lift when at full capacity. Both systems have their use and application. The combination has however offered a relatively inexpensive but significant upgrade to the stability and ride quality of the Lexus loaded and unloaded. I prefer a slightly more stiff and stable platform and I can now customize to my needs. I am happy with my purchase.
crap. a waste of money. I've now fixed 3 separate leaks.
I have these on a 2010 Lexus GX460 and have towed a uhaul car trailer with our 2005 convertible Mustang GT across the country, which was a bit heavier than our regular tow, a 2007 Yamaha AR230 jet boat. The airbags make a huge difference and I could not be happier with em.
Two trips out west west including Alaska Approximately 15K miles and still doing good.
Works great helping level the 4Runner out while pulling our boat. Install was also easy.
Great kit overall. Do heed the install instructions, and not online forums for the 5th gen 4Runner. The instructions are correct, and forums are not.
Only think I did not like about the kit are the barbed fittings, and the flimsy plastic tee that’s included. The barbed fitting are extremely difficult to have the air line engaged into in a confined space under the vehicle. A push to connect fitting, or some other type of compression fitting would have been easier.
I’m very happy with the air coils. I’ve had them for two years now without any issues. I originally installed them because I tow my boat with 2016 4runner . The rear end would sag quite a bit when towing. I installed these air coils and immediately corrected the situation. What I didn’t know is how much it would improve daily driving. The truck handles much better now since installing. The air coils have completely removed anybody roll. Giving me much more confidence when taking corners. I installed the Onboard air compressor, figuring I would be raising and lowering air pressure in the coils when towing and not towing. What I found is setting the coils at 15 psi was all I needed for both towing and daily driving. So long story short, save some money and don’t buy the onboard compressor. You can just set these air coils with a pump to your desired psi and leave it. In my case I have not had to add or lower psi in over a year. So the bags keep their pressure.
As far as install they’re pretty easy. There’s tens of [onine] videos that are very helpful. I did try the one method of smashing the bag and sliding through the coil and found it to be too difficult. I ended up dropping the axle and pulling the coils. It also made things easier when cutting the bump stops. I ran in my hoses from the top of the axle down. I felt it created less pinch points and was easier to route.
Good luck
This is my second set of air lift , first have been on a 2005 Toyota 4Runner for the past 9 years and still work great. This set I just installed on my new to me 2016 Toyota 4Runner and look forward to many years of towing service with them.
