Heavy loads can make the back of your vehicle sag, throwing off how it handles and how your headlights aim. The Air Lift 1000 Universal Air Spring Kit gives your rear coil springs up to 1,000 lbs of load-leveling support to keep things level when hauling or towing. By supporting your stock suspension, it helps maintain steering and braking performance and prevents strain on tires and factory components.

Different loads call for different support, and this system lets you dial it in. Each polyurethane air spring adjusts with manual inflation valves—5 psi minimum and up to 35 psi or 50 psi depending on spring pitch. Inflate both together for even support or separately to even out side-to-side weight differences. You can also add a compressor system (sold separately) later for easier on-the-fly air adjustments.
These air springs install inside your existing rear coils to take the hit from bumps, sway, and road shock before it reaches the chassis. The added cushion keeps the ride more stable when you’re loaded down and helps absorb bounce so you stay comfortable and in control on uneven roads or when stopping hard with a trailer behind you.
Built for straightforward installation, this kit mounts inside your rear coil springs with included tubing, Schrader valves, heat shields, and hardware. No special tools are required beyond basic hand tools. Once installed, you can easily access the inflation valves—typically mounted at the bumper—for quick pressure checks before hitting the road.

Hello neighbors, I'm Steven here at etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this Air Lift 1000 Universal Air Spring Kit for your rear axles. Now folks I wanna point out before we get started here, to fit these, again they're universal, you need a minimum inside coil spring diameter of four inches for this guy to fit inside your coil spring. Now, if you don't have that, go to your vehicle, measure the inside diameter of the coil spring. Make sure you're getting the right universal kit for your specific springs. Now on this product page, part number AL60909, you will find that graph or that bar graph chart at the center of the page, if you scroll down a little bit.
So that should help you pick out the right ones for your specific needs. Now getting into it, these do provide a nice 1000 pounds of load leveling support to improve safety and your ride quality. What they do is they support the existing rear coil spring suspension when you're hauling or towing, and they're gonna keep your vehicle level when you're hauling a heavy load. They also help improve steering and braking performance, and they maintain a headlight aim to reduce tire wear and OEM suspension strain. So if you're squatting in the back of your vehicle, you know, you got too much load on, your headlights are pointing up, you put these in there, it's gonna lower your headlights, push the back end back up and keep you straight.
So that way you can see better at night as well. Now again, these are airbags. They suck in air if you're not connecting anything, but you can inflate them. They get pushed together, they squeeze inside of your coil spring, and then they inflate and basically keep your coil spring from, you know, squatting down as far as it normally would from the factory. Now you can manually inflate these independently, meaning one side versus the other, or you can do it at the same time if you so choose.
There's an included T valve there with the hardware and everything. Just follow the instructions that come with it and you'll be fine. Now, everything here, these bags are constructed of durable polyurethane. They do, again, install inside your vehicle's rear coil springs. Now you get the two air springs.
You also get two heat shields, these guys here. (heat shields scrape) Now these heat shields obviously are metal. They're gonna help keep heat and everything away from the bag so that nothing melts or you know, gets loosened over time or whatnot. Everything here folks is made in the USA. You could add a compressor system that is sold separately with a compressor system you can inflate automatically, monitor the tire or the PSI inside the bags, the pressure, and you could adjust it that way. Keep in mind, these are rated for a thousand pounds of load leveling capacity. You're not adding capacity to the vehicle. Now, as far as adjustable air pressure, you can have greater than one inch of spring pitch. That's gonna be five PSI to 35 PSI. And less than one inch of spring pitch you'll have five PSI to 50 PSI, Again, check the instructions as far as all those dimensions and those angles on your spring pitch, the way you're, you know, inflating these correctly. They have a very nice limited lifetime warranty. And again, it's made here in the USA. Folks, that's gonna do it for our look at these Airlift 1000 Universal Air Spring Kit for your rear coil springs. Again, I'm Steven here at etrailer.com. Thank you so much for your time. Thanks for watching and have a great day.

This product did everything I hoped it would, no more bounce and sway while towing. I would recommend these air bags to anyone towing a trailer.

Holy cow, so it’s been over a year, I have had no problems at all matter fact, I forgot the airbags were even on there, they’ve held air once I got them where I want them. I have not even touch them they work fantastic, like I said 10 years ago I used them on the wife’s car and I came back because it’s such a great product, kudos to airlift.

Another year and the bags are still working great. They are used every time we do a trip with our camper. No issues note: you will experience minor pressure decrease over time but nothing major.
