Features to know about

Dial In Support From Your Phone: Bluetooth Control Makes Adjustments Easy

No more switches or remotes to keep track of—everything runs through your smartphone. The Firestone Air Command Standard Duty Air Compressor connects directly to your phone over Bluetooth, turning it into your air control center. The app lets you inflate, deflate, and monitor each air spring right from the screen. Whether you’re parked or on the move, pressure changes happen instantly without leaving the driver’s seat.

Stay Level Under Load: Dual Path System Keeps Each Side Balanced

When one side sags more than the other, this dual path setup fixes it fast. It independently manages two air springs or two pairs, helping you keep things level side-to-side or front-to-back. That means better stability when you’re carrying uneven weight and steadier handling when towing or hauling.

Reliable Power When You Need It: Standard Duty Compressor Built to Last

The 12-volt compressor delivers up to 100 psi with a 9% duty cycle and 0.32 CFM at 100 psi. It fills from 0–30 psi in 17 seconds and 0–60 psi in 42 seconds, which is plenty quick for light-duty use or occasional towing. The compact 7-5/8" x 2-1/8" x 4-7/8" build mounts easily in tight spots, and the electronic control unit can be placed wherever it fits best.

Tough Enough for the Real World: Sealed and Ready for the Road

Rain, salt spray, or heat won’t bother it. The compressor and ECU are designed to stand up to moisture, road chemicals, and extreme temperatures. With included fittings, air line, harness, and mounting hardware, everything hooks up cleanly and stays protected once installed.

Quick Install and Clean Setup: Everything You Need in One Kit

No extra tank or add-ons required. The Firestone system comes complete with the compressor, wiring harness, air line, fittings, and mounting plate. Once wired and synced to your phone, you’re ready to fine-tune your ride height and comfort with just a few taps.

Once installed its great, take some time and effort to get it all in place.

by:

It works great, connected to phone easily. Installation & connection point were fairly straightforward.

by:

Installation was a bit of a chore due to where i wanted the air compressor and the gage. Used it this weekend and it worked very well. Makes it easy to add air or remove air from the air bags as needed even when you don't have an air hose handy.

by:

Sales gal was great

by:

The pump has been in place now for 4 months. It was easy to install and it paired with my Android phone without an issue. I placed it in a rear storage compartment of a 31 foot Class C. Easily connects from the driver's seat or outside in the front of the Coach.

by:

The Firestone compressor has been a great addition to my truck for my airbags. If you are installing airbags for your truck make sure that you are to install an air compressor you won’t regret it.

by:

A great product with easy installation directions. The Firestone Air Command air compressor keeps me air up, or down, for all of my heavy loads. I wouldn't have a pickup without one!

by:

Just installed this product on my 2020 ram looking forward to see how it goes pulling my fifth wheel around easy installment easy running the wires and hoses very good instructional videos on etrailer.com

by:

Good Kit. Easy to install

by:

Mounted to the frame of truck.Been operating for a year and works great.

by:

The compressor is a big plus for the air bag helper springs I installed. I love that I can tow my fifth wheel and adjust the air as needed. As soon as I park the trailer I can adjust the pressure to 5 lbs for a really smooth ride and then air them back up when I hook up to the trailer again.

by:

Absolutely love them! It took a minute to get acclimated to them after going without or a much lesser system. Now every time I hook up to a trailer they get adjusted. Live the on the fly ability to adjust according to the road and load conditions. I have and will continue to recommend these to all my friends that tow.

by:

Once I got the ecu code in, everything went smoothly. My frame was too wide for the component bracket. A couple threaded holes and I was back in business. Looks nice, works great.

by:

Works great! Routing air lines into the cab and finding a place to mount the controller was a bit challenging for my 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, but the end result is very clean and useful. I should have installed this years ago when I originally put air springs onto this pickup truck. My primary use is to level the load and provide more support for my Lance camper. Adjusting the air spring pressure is much easier and quick now!

by:

This kit pairs perfectly with the Ride-Rite bags on my 2012 F350. Installation was pretty simple. I mounted the pump in the driver side rear seat storage area and wired it to one of my Upfitter switches. There was plenty of air line and pigtail wire. I was using a bicycle pump on a shrader valve and this beats the crap out of that. I tow a trailer with 960 pound tongue weight, 2 kayaks on the tonneau cover and a long bed full of gear and this levels it out perfectly. I use this with a weight distribution hitch and still have minimal sway.

by:

I pull my boat with 25lbs,my 5th wheel with 85lbs and driving around town 5lbs all at the press of a button. The system works perfectly.

by:

This is a must buy to go with the helper bags. Remote or phone makes it easy to control the truck. I love it. Truck handles like a dream with the bags and air.

by:

Great little air compressor for my 2014 Ram 2500. Nice fit under the bed. Made the truck ride better when towing my fifth wheel and when empty

by:

The installation was pretty easy and it worked just like it supposed to. The compressor pump up fast and the remote works good.

by:

Putting this in by yourself is a bear when lying on a creeper and a 2019 Chevy Dually doesn't have a lot of options for location. Read that as 1. But it is on and all wired up and working fine. Put airbags on a previous truck years ago without a compressor, I was a poor GI. This is SO much better. Just takes a little time, think it out and plot your path for cabling and hoses to avoid the exhaust.

by:

I gave this product one star because there wasn't a option of 0. One of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. #1. The ECM, or computer, whatever they want to call this thing that runs this system, It is just a monitor. When your air psi drops to low all it does is log a code and tell you you air system has a leak. I would think it would kick on and build the air psi up, nope, it just logs a code and shut down the system until you clear the codes. #2. You have to take off the pump stops above your axle to install the ridiculously stupid system. So I thought ok, there must be bump stops inside the air bags, and ordered it anyway. Well I was wrong. When you take the bump stops off over the axle and you come upon a huge bump as you can do traveling around the good ole USA, the air bag bottom out, so you have the full force of the huge bump you just hit coming down on you axle, not good. We hit a bump that snuck up on us in Florida over by Okeechobee Lake that was possibly the biggest bump I have ever encountered in all my travels, and I swear I though it has cracked my axle, no bump stops to protect it. As soon as I got home I took this lousy system off my truck and put something better on, a much better system.

by:

Great compressor with the option of using the included remote or my cellphone. The two presets allow for quickly switching between normal empty bed setting and the setting for when the 5th wheel is connected.

by:

The compressor gets extremely hot if it runs for even a short while getting the bags up to around 80 pounds. The ECM module also does not retain the last setting if you place the system on switched power. I choose switched power due to how hot the compressor got and am not willing to risk it running nonstop if there was a leak in the system. When I initially installed it there was a small leak and the compressor ran nonstop. There is supposedly a timeout but it ran nonstop until I disconnected it from the battery. I have previously owned an extreme duty system which worked incredibly well.

by:

Easy install. Took about a hour. Bluetooth is slow connecting but works well.

by:

Seems to work well but after having it in the winter I would not recommend putting this on the frame rail as it tends to freeze up! I intend to take it off of the frame rail and install in the engine compartment!

Thank you for the feedback Troy. As you have already seen, in colder climates, mounting the compressor on the frame rail can expose it to moisture and freezing conditions. Installing it in a more protected location, such as the engine compartment, is a great alternative and can help prevent winter-related issues. What are you hauling around that you needed the extra support?

  • Recommended Dual Path Air Compressor to Replace a Firestone AirRide 2860
The Firestone Air Command Standard Duty Air Compressor item # F39VV would be a solid upgrade over the single path compressor that comes with the Firestone 2860 combo. This dual path compressor has a max air pressure of 100 psi which is perfect for what you're looking for. The air bags currently on your Silverado top out at 100 psi. The dual path function will allow you to level out your passenger side with the rest of your truck.

  • What To Do If Replacement Firestone Remote Is No Longer Available
Hi Erik, I hate to be the bearer of this news, but the replacement remotes have been discontinued by Firestone. I would look and see if maybe there is a used one being sold somewhere or possibly someone else has older stock somewhere, but otherwise the best I can offer is a replacement compressor, part # F39VV.

  • What is the Yellow Wire on the Firestone Air Command Used for?
Hey Layne, thanks for reaching out! When our good friends at Firestone were out here for a training day I asked what the yellow wire was for on the Firestone Air Command # F39VV and the response I got was that it's for potential future upgrades to the system, but they didn't know what those upgrades might be. If you can figure out what that magic yellow wire is designed for, then by all means please use it and let me know what you discovered so I can finally get some sleep at night.

  • Is There a No Drill Mounting Bracket For The Dual Path Wireless Air Command Compressor System F39VV?
At this time Firestone only offers their No-Drill Mount Kit # F2612 for the Single Path Wireless Air Command Compressor System # F2610. They do not offer a no drill mount for the Dual Path Wireless Air Command Compressor System # F39VV at this time. I do know these kits both use the same compressor so you may be able to use the mount with some slight modification for the different ECU since there is no specific fit option at this time.
