The integrated flush design of the Yakima BaseLine FX keeps the two crossbars tight to the roofline, giving a clean, factory-style profile. Nothing sticks out past the mounting towers, so the rack looks like part of the vehicle instead of an add-on. A roof rack can hum at highway speeds, but these aero-style crossbars are built to handle that. The JetStream-style profile helps reduce wind drag, and the push-down rubber strips fill the channels to cut down on noise and vibration. The result is a smoother, quieter ride that doesn’t drown out your drive.
These bars are ready for all kinds of gear—cargo boxes, kayak carriers, bike racks, or ski holders. The top channels accept channel-mount accessories, and the bar shape also works with clamp-on attachments. This complete system includes two BaseLine FX crossbars with towers and a custom fit kit designed for naked roofs. The integrated design makes installation straightforward while keeping everything solid once mounted. The aluminum construction supports up to 165 lbs (always follow your vehicle’s roof load rating), so it’s ready for weekend trips and long hauls alike.
You can add Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores (sold separately) to secure both the rack and channel-mount accessories. It’s a simple way to keep your setup protected whether you’re parked at a trailhead or overnight at a campsite.

2-years into owning my system: I have had the rack on the vehicle for 2-years and never removed it. Every 3-4 months i check the performance of the base clips and they have never come lose. I think best practice is to always check the stability of the rack however i have never had a problem and the system has always stayed tight and firm. Its been a great system for the vehicle.
