Recommendation for Roof Rack and Cargo Box for 2011 Honda Fit

If you're wanting to add a roof rack to your 2011 Honda Fit, I suggest using the Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack for Naked Roofs part # Y69MB. The bars for this roof rack are aero shaped which will help reduce wind noise, support up to 220lbs, and are 50 inches long so you'll have plenty of space to put cargo up on your roof. They do hang slightly over the edge of the car, so if you're wanting something shorter with a more factory look you can use the Yakima BaseLine FX Roof Rack for Naked Roofs part # Y52ZD, which has the same aero style bars and is rated for 165lbs.

For a roof top box, there are a lot of different sizes of roof top box, so depending on how much you're wanting to carry a different one may suit your needs. I do recommend the Yakima SkyBox NX Rooftop Cargo Box part # Y95AV for a good middle of the road option in terms of size. It's dimensions are 75 1/2" x 35" x 16" which is great for sedans, crossovers, and SUVs, and it has a simple clamp on installation to secure to your roof rack. It also has security latches that seal and lock the box to keep your things protected.

roughly 150lbs. I’m assuming the roof rack weight is not accounting for the actually weight of the cargo box? Thank you.

@TennyC If that's the case, I would go with the smaller Yakima roof rack bars part # Y52ZD and a smaller cargo box to reduce the weight. The Yakima SkyBox NX Skinny Rooftop cargo box has a 12-cu ft capacity and by itself weighs 41lbs versus the Y95AV 47lbs. Also make sure to verify the weight capacity of your roof to make sure you don't exceed it. I wasn't able to find an exact weight capacity for your vehicle so I'm unsure of how much weight it can handle.
