Question:

Hi, I have a 2019 Lexus ES300h with no rails or mounts - it does have a sun roof. Will the sun roof preclude the ability to fit a roof rack? If not, I am seeking a flat rack to carry 2 sheets of high quality 4x8 plywood so flatness of the cross bars is critical. Which system would you recommend? Thanks,

As long as you just have a sun roof on your 2019 Lexus ES 300h and it isn't the full-blown panoramic roof then we do have roof rack options for you.

For your application I recommend going with the Yakima JetStream system because the BaseLine Towers that come with it have a few adjustments in them to help keep your crossbars level with each other. Other systems rely on rubber inserts for the fit kit but the Yakima system is mechanical and I believe it produces the best answer for your situation. The parts you'll need include the following:

50" JetStream Crossbars - # Y00425
BaseLine Towers - # Y28TR
Fit Kit - # Y06143
Fit Kit - # Y06170

If you don't already have a way to secure your plywood then you might consider using longer 60" JetStream crossbars, # Y00426 and either the Eye Bolts # Y01162 or Load Stops # Y01161 to give you tie-down locations for straps like part # Y01165.
