Whereas belt-driven fans use up power from the engine to turn, electric fans do not, thus removing any unnecessary load and increasing both fuel economy and horsepower. In addition, you do not have to worry about an electric fan's slowing down at low RPM, as many belt-driven fans do, so you are guaranteed sufficient airflow regardless of the vehicle speed.

While this assembly is intended for primary cooling and should, therefore, provide enough CFM to replace your vehicle's factory fan, you will still need to determine the CFM requirements for your engine before making your purchase. And remember, engines that have been modified or vehicles often used for towing may require additional CFM. There is no limit to the number of fans you can install, as long they all fit appropriately and are mounted on the same side of your radiator so that they do not cancel each other out.

Two types of turn-on sources are available for this fan. The Derale Lighted On/Off Switch for Electric Fans (D16740) allows for manual control of your fan so that you can choose when to turn it on and off. Thermostatic controls, on the other hand, send a signal to the fan, directing it to shut off when fluid temperatures reach an appropriate level, thus saving power. Once the temperature climbs again and additional cooling is needed, the fan is automatically turned back on. Thermostat switches can be single-stage with pre-set temperatures - D16735, D16738, D16739, D16720 and D16721 - or adjustable - D16778 and D16779.

Today we're going to take a look at the Derale 26 inch dual high-output electric radiator fan and shroud assembly, with the 4000 cubic feet per minute rating. Now this high performance primary cooling fan kit will combine two high-output motors and a nice sturdy laser cut, powder coated metal shroud that uses these pressure relief vents next to each fan you can see, to produce a nice powerful dual electric fan set up. The shroud itself measures 26 inches wide, 18 inches tall, and is only about 4 inches in overall depth to give you a nice adjustable, yet precision, fit. It is perfect for muscle cars, street rods, heavy duty trucks. The combination produces 4000 cubic feet per minute, while each fan will draw 24.8 amps. This will increase fuel economy, horsepower, and torque to improve overall performance. It does offer consistent air flow with the stater flow directors right here, and it also has a patented ultra quiet skew blade design on the fans.

You can see the fans here. They're two 12 inch diameter fans with 7 blades per fan and the design, as you can see, of the blade is a skewered blade design, very ultra quiet. This can be mounted in various locations behind the radiator. It is polar applications only. Again, it is designed with this nice durable powder coated metal shroud. It does include everything shown here on the table.

That includes the two high amperage relay harnesses with the relays, adjustable mounting brackets, and the necessary hardware to install it. It comes with a nice set of detailed instructions that describe how to install it to your vehicle. This part is made in the USA. A few specs on this, the maximum cubic feet per minute again these fans move is 4000. The power draw again is 24.8 amps per fan. They are high-output 300 watt motors, and the last thing I want to give you is the measurements.

The overall dimension again, the width of it is 26 inches, total height is 18 inches, and the depth of the shroud is 2 3/4 inches deep. That should do it for the review on the Derale 26 inch dual high-output electric radiator fan and shroud assembly with the 4000 cubic feet per minute rating.
