Radiator Fans with High-Output Fan power

Tackle heat with radiator fans built for strong airflow; a high-output fan setup can help in traffic, towing, or hot climates when space and cooling demand are both high. Choose a low-profile design when clearance to the water pump or pulleys is tight, or go thicker when you have room and want better pull as a rear-mounted puller. Plan wiring and relays for higher amp draw, and make sure your alternator can keep up at idle.
Measure your available depth first. Some high-output fans are thicker than most, while others are thin high flow designs that fit tight radiators. Mock up the fan and shroud to confirm clearance to the water pump pulley. If using mounting ties, check that the keepers hold firmly; some keepers may not grip well and can loosen.
A puller setup helps improve cooling capacity. A fan intended as a pusher can often run in reverse by swapping polarity, but may need a custom shroud to work correctly. Confirm blade orientation and airflow direction before final wiring. Make sure the shroud seals well to the radiator core for efficient pull.
Plan for solid power and control. Dual high-output fans can draw significant current; an 85-amp alternator may deliver only about 40 amps at idle. Upgrading to a higher-output alternator or using a smaller pulley can help. A dual-fan relay and a thermostatic control make wiring cleaner and reduce load when full speed isn't needed.
If the shroud covers the side tanks, cooling ability may be slightly affected but the unit can still function as designed. You'll still get plenty of airflow. Check overall height and width so the core is well covered, and verify clearance front to back. If temps stay high, recheck fan orientation, sealing, and system tune.
