If your steering feels loose or wanders, the Exact Center stabilizer locks things down for a true center feel. The nitrogen-charged tandem gas spring applies force the instant you start to drift, keeping your steering tight and predictable. Instead of waiting for sway or rut tracking to happen, it prevents it in the first place. You’ll notice a more confident, controlled drive whether you’re cruising straight or dealing with uneven pavement.
Crosswinds, ruts, and road edges can make even a steady driver work too hard at the wheel. This setup keeps your steering centered and calm through it all. It’s designed to counter unwanted pull and lane wander so you’re not constantly correcting. The result is steadier handling and less fatigue, especially on long highway runs or when passing big vehicles.
Flat towing or backing up doesn’t have to be a guessing game. This stabilizer keeps the steering centered and reduces the chance of jackknifing when you back your rig. It also lets you reverse without disconnecting your tow bar, which makes setup and travel days simpler.
There’s no drilling or welding here. The stabilizer mounts to the factory axle bracket holes on one end and ties into the tie rod location on the other. Custom brackets are sold separately, but once you have them it’s a straightforward bolt-on job. The spring measures 21-1/4" from center of bushing to center of bushing, and the locking jam nuts are 1/2" (use a 13/16" wrench).
The body of the stabilizer is made from stainless steel that stands up to road grime, water, and debris. It’s designed for long-term reliability with a limited lifetime warranty, so it’ll keep your steering smooth and centered for years to come.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Roadmaster Exact Center steering stabilizer. This is going to help you maintain control of your Jeep and help it to return to center when something like a crosswind or uneven pavement or even a tire blowout causes it to swerve or jolt. This is a tempered steel pneumatic spring that's going to work to return your vehicle to its normal state. So when it compresses, the spring is going to push back to its neutral position, and when it extends, it's going to pull back. So it's going to help keep you centered so you don't have to work as hard to steer.
So it's gonna help to reduce road fatigue. And this will also allow for limited backing up of your RV when you're flat-towing your Jeep. So with most options, you wouldn't be able to back up your RV with your Jeep connected, because it's gonna turn and be hard to control. But since this is going to keep it centered, you'll be able to back up a little bit while you have your Jeep connected. This will attach to the steering mechanism on one end and to the chassis undercarriage on the other.
You will have a nice tight connection between those components to help keep your steering firm and controlled. It only takes about an hour to get this installed. There's no drilling or welding. In most situations, you are going to need custom mounting brackets. There are a few that you won't, but vast majority are gonna require mounting brackets to get this installed.
Those are sold separately, but you can find kits available here at etrailer.com that have this and those brackets. But if you're just needing to replace the steering stabilizer, this will do a good job for that. Or if you have one of those applications where you don't need the brackets, this will be a great option for you as well. This is made here in the USA, so you can trust it is gonna be made of good quality materials, have good craftsmanship and oversight, just like all the other materials or products made here in the U.S. Does come with a limited lifetime warranty as well, so if you we're to have any issues with it you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com.
But overall, I think this can be a great option get mounted onto your Jeep so it's gonna be much more comfortable, take a lot of strain off of you trying to keep your Jeep centered. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

worked great and was easy to install
This is absolutely a must for anyone with a Class A gas motorhome and fighting the steering. Steering feels tighter and self-centers quickly. Makes driving my 35' RV much easier and a LOT less fighting with steering when passing big rigs or in wind.
I installed the exact center myself. It took me about an hour due to a couple rusty bolts. Test Robin on some side roads and the main road today and I love it. Keeps me on the lane. I don’t have to play the wheel back-and-forth constantly. It doesn’t pop back to center as quuck as I thought it would, but maybe I just gotta get used to it. Definitely an improvement for a long trip.
The motorhome drives so much easier now. I would recommend this if your on the fence.
This has improved the steering significantly for our 2021 Jayco Redhawk 25R! It's almost incredible how much better it is. Can now hold the steering with one hand and does not pull in one direction. Huge improvement!
Supper easy install takes about 1 1/2 hours and most definitely made a difference in the steering input and holding the road is definitely improved.
I will have to wait until next year to install the stabilizer. I had to have the kingpins replaced in the Ford front end at 13,500 miles because parts were left out at the factory. We were not able to use the motorhome much this year.
Joshua did a great job on the phone with me.
The product that I bought seems to be high quality.
Do not like how it handles with the center steer
Made a world of difference. Installed on a Class C RV and was a marked improvement over the anemic OEM “steering stabilizer.” Very little adjustment required.
Best investment I have made on this Motorhome. So much easier to drive and keep in it's lane.
Super easy install on a 2019 Leprechaun 319MB ,Class C RV. Hardest part was taking off the old hardware. Followed the instructions and test drove at 60mph and it drove totally straight and did not have to make any micro adjustments. A very well made product.
I had the road master exact center steering stabilizer installed on my RV and tried it out and it was perfect driving and maintaining position on the road way with out drifting. Although my tow vehicle was not connected I thought it felt good without out it a believe it will be fine.
Everything arrived on time. I did a preliminary fit check, parts look beefy and it looks right for my vehical. Just need to find steering center and install it. So far so good !
We installed the Roadmaster steering stabilizer on our 2018 Thor Chateau 24F motorhome. The drifting issue we'd experienced was significantly improved making driving easier and less stressful.
Great product! My installer Martins Auto Tech did a fantastic job!!! Jeff Martin the owner took the extra time to make sure everything was aligned correctly and took the time to explain why he liked the product we chose from etrailer! If i ever needed or will need any work done to my RV. I would use etrailer and Jeff Martins Auto Tech in Hollywood Maryland! Btw your source page led us to Martins Auto Tech with great reviews! Thank you again!
This one of the best if not the best exact center steering stabilizer on the market. Steering my 38 foot class A gas motorhome is simply a breeze. I use to fight my steering wheel to keep my motorhome straight on every type of road. I use to brace and prepare to input multiple steering corrections whenever a Semi truck was about to pass me. With my exact center steering stabilizer installed plus the addition of air bags (front and rear) driving my motorhome is now as easy as driving my F-150 super duty. The exact center steering stabilizer alone improved all of the white knuckle constant steering adjustments i was experiencing. The air bags prevent the side to side movements from cross winds and when a Semi truck passes my motorhome. The vast improvement is the same with or without the toad. This was by far the most cost effective, easily installed, and immediate improvement I have made to my 2015 Coachmen Encounter 37LS Motorhome.
Easy to install if you have the right tools, 3/4" torque wrench etc. Seems to be doing the job on smooth roads, our roads are terribly rutted and lots of frost heaves. Did not have to adjust after install.
First road trip with our new Integra Odyssey from New York to Key West. It was a nightmare driving this thing down south! Ordered this Roadmaster and had it shipped to my friend's house in Florida. We installed it in about an hour and it is a night and day difference. Sway is almost completely gone and you can let go of the wheel and it stays centered. No more white knuckle driving!
Item arrived quickly the video on the site actually helped with the installation and it was very simple, installation is on a 2023 Nexus Wraith 34w on the international MV 670 chassis
The Exact Center Stabilizer itself is very good. The bracket that was sent only worked on one side of vehicle. Instruction say it is universal for either side mounting. That is incorrect for the kit I received. The stabilizer itself would have fit better on my 2022 F53 if it were about 2 inches longer.
It was an easy install...by me,(above average mechanical skill).
You don't need to be a "mechanic" to install yourself, again good directions and web page videos to help.
The unit itself does exactly what is advertised, makes steering a little more "stiff" and centers the steering wheel with little effort.
Great product.
This works well and was very easy to in stall
No instructions provided as to how to set up and fine tune. Videos on etrailer website helped some. It does pull the steering wheel back to center but I'm still trying to get the jeep to drive straight after several adjustments.
We installed it on a modified '74 CJ-5 in an attempt to make it a little more street worthy. It definitely improved handling on asphalt.
Do you have a question about this Anti-Sway Bar?

Sorry about that, David. I don't know why Roadmaster does this, but the adjusting instructions are located in the instructions for the brackets. This is definitely a weird place for that and I will be contacting them to see if it can be changed. So here's to hoping! If you hadn't gotten it figured out quite yet though, here is what you want to do: A left pull can be corrected by shortening the unit; a right pull can be corrected by lengthening the unit. *Important*: Only loosen one jam nut at a time when adjusting. Be sure the jam nuts are tightened against the END and not the body. Do not exceed a distance of 3/8” between the jam nut and unit body. Hopefully that clears it up a little and you can get back to not worrying about it. Let me know if that does or doesn't help and if you need any further assistance or anything. ^___^
