Features to know about

Straighter Tracking on the Highway: Reflex Spring Keeps You Centered

Strong crosswinds, rutted pavement, or a quick swerve can make your steering wander. The tempered steel spring inside the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer constantly works to keep the steering centered. When the spring is compressed, it pushes back; when extended, it pulls back—always returning to neutral. That tight connection between the chassis and steering system helps the vehicle stay in line, so you’re not fighting the wheel every time the road gets rough.

Confident Handling in Tough Conditions: Controlled, Predictable Steering Feel

This setup helps you stay in control through sudden jolts, tire blowouts, or edging off uneven shoulders. Because the stabilizer automatically corrects oversteering and minimizes wander, steering feels consistent and balanced. You’ll notice the difference most when the wind picks up or the pavement isn’t perfect—stability stays high, and your line stays true.

Less Fatigue Behind the Wheel: Fewer Corrections, Smoother Drive

Long days on the road can wear you out if you’re always making small steering inputs. The Reflex Steering Stabilizer keeps your steering steady, cutting the need for constant correction. The result is a smoother, more relaxed drive that leaves you less tired at the end of a long stretch.

Quick Bolt-On Install: Includes Mounting Brackets and Hardware

No drilling or welding is needed to get it on the road. The kit comes complete with the stabilizer, custom mounting brackets, and all necessary hardware. Installation takes about an hour, and once it’s bolted into place—tie rod on one end, chassis undercarriage on the other—you’re ready to see how much calmer and more predictable the steering feels.

Built to Last: Tempered Steel and Heavy-Duty Hardware

The sturdy tempered steel spring and solid mounting components are made for long-term durability. Every part of the assembly is designed to stay tight and responsive under load, so you can count on steady steering support trip after trip.

I was able to assemble the Reflex Steering Stabilizer by driving up onto 2 X 12 boards, and using my creeper, and an impact gun
. It took about an hour to assemble.

by:

installed steering stabilizer along with a set of timbren blocks, what an amazing difference. easy directions andinstallation. delivered 1 day earlier than date posted. thank you!

by:

Steering feels slightlymore solid than without it but thought it would bring the steering back to center which it does not. Also did expect it to have more impact when being passed by large trucks. Not sure if I would recommend it.

Installed the roadmaster stabilizer on my 2017 F450 Fleetwood Jamboree and just got back from the test drive. Got the positioning just right on the first try. This with my sumo springs have completely transformed my ride.
Excellent.

Works well, install was a little tough as the video showed mounting bracket instructions different then the bracket I installed . I had to remove the spring u bolt nuts. That was not an easy task. Had to use a breaker bar and my legs to remove them. Install was easy and took about 20 minutes. Steering feels good.Happy with etrailer and the product.

What a difference this made. I was on the fence about this for quite a while because of the investment needed. Now that’s it’s on my 2018 Coachman Freelander 28QB sitting on a Ford E450 my only advice is don’t wait any longer, put this on as soon as possible! It took all of that steering wheel shake out. No need to hang on with a death grip anymore. The stabilizer is very easy to put on, it took me about 1 ½ hours to complete including taking the old one off. Just follow the great video and printed instructions from etrailer and you will have no problems at all.

We have driven about 3,400 miles since the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer install. I can honestly say it has made a significant difference in the handling of our Class C RV. Before installing the Stabilizer the RV steering felt like it wanted to drift one way or the other depending on road conditions. This is no longer the case. Much less work to steer.

by:

I installed this on my 2003 Chevy Express 3500 Roadtrek Class B motorhome to help with steering wander. It improved the issue by about 75%. A noticeable improvement. The instructions were a little difficult to follow, but with some tech support help, I was able to remedy the issue by reversing the position of the small end bracket (see pic) that attaches to the steering center link. This is basically a shock absorber (dampener with spring) mounted horizontally on the steering Linkage. It worked well.

I did the drive to find center on steering wheel which made installation easier. Removing existing steering stabilizer and brackets and installing the new wasn’t difficult at all with just basic tools. Read instructions and watch video at etrailer site. The reflex steering stabilizer is worth the money but should be the last modification done in my opinion. The first thing to install to help the swaying, leaning or just being pushed around by the semi trucks is #1 Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar if the manufacturer left the original small one on. #2 Roadmaster front anti-sway bar. Then #3 Roadmaster Reflex steering stabilizer. I say Roadmaster because the bushings and linkage for all of these are very heavy duty compared to the others that I compared. After doing all three of these upgrades to my 2022 E-450 33 foot class C the driving has gone from seriously gripping the steering wheel to driving relaxed with one hand in high wind or the passing of big rigs and ruff dipping road surfaces. I did this upgrades one at a time in the order I’ve indicated so I actually got to feel how each item help to control my motorhome. I am very pleased with all. Thanks etrailer for the excellent service.

To start off, the folks at etrailer were the most professional and helpful. I cannot remember a company I have dealt with in the past that offers such help in determining the correct product and answering my many questions.

The installation of the RBK22 bracket was flawless. I was very concerned because of the size of my Newmar Country Star 3911 motor home (26,000 GVRW). The U bolt nuts came off without a lot of strain, since I went out an purchased a 3/4" breaker bar. We installed the mounting bracket and re torqued the U bolt nuts to the factory 250 ft. lbs of torque.

Installing the RSSA went smooth as well. Check out the pictures below. We then took the motor home out on the freeway and drove it between 65 - 70 mph. Steering was wonderful! Before, I could only drive 55 mph and had to constantly fight with the steering wheel to keep the motor home straight.

Thank you etrailer and Roadmaster for such a great product!

Makes driving my motorhome a pleasure. Its an absolute night and day difference.

by:

This stabilizer is great! Installed today (10/24) on my Georgetown 34H5. Took my it for a ride down Interstate 20 for about 5 miles. Was passed by a couple of semis and hardly felt anything! Your product is great. Looking forward to my trip to New Orleans in January.

by:

It does do a good job. The only possible change that I would like to see is to the attachment at the tie rod end. It can be a challenge to torque the u bolts to spec.
Thanks

by:

Improved the handling but was just barely able to fit it on my Chevy Express 4500 chassis with a little modification to the bracket.

by:

If you have a Ford E350 or E450, but this. Your future RVing self will thank you. East to install and a real game changer when it comes to driving. It takes attention to detail to get it centered but it is not difficult to get it done. No more wandering from lane to lane and no white knuckles when driving in the wind or meeting wind jamming semi truck.

by:

The Roadmaster Reflex RV Steering Stabilizer has made a huge improvement in how our 22 E 450 coach drives. We live in South Central Kansas and wind is often a big problem . The Relex has been a great investment .

by:

Our Ford E350 got blown all over the Interstate on trips. It was so dangerous at times. At first I installed Bilstein shocks and though they helped a little, installing the front and rear anti-sway bars and the steering stabilizer made all the difference in the world. I changed them all at the same time so I don't know which one helped the most. These are certainly quality products and are pretty easy to install.

by:

Relatively easy install - huge difference in the steering of my Coach.

Steering is tight , no wandering ,love the return to center !!

These should be standard equipment on every motorhome sold - no exceptions.

by:

It took me about an hour to install the RM stabilizer and was surprised that no adjustment was needed after the test drive. I had to call back e Trailer to get torgue specs since it was not included in the package. Overall a great investment my van drives a lot better particularly on the freeway.

by:

As of right now it gives a tighter feel to the steering. I had it put on by a local Rv dealer on 1/2026 for the up coming camping season. I have a Coachmen 29FW 2024

by:

Quality built steering stabilzer. Well packaged and arrived within my expected time frame.

by:

First, I did have to grind off corner of the plate that mounts under leaf spring bolts. It would not lay flush so I tapered one of the edges where it met the axel a little bit till it laid flush. I did buy a 3/4 inch wrench set but with an rv, it's good to have and will possible allow me to get the 22.5 inch wheels off in an emergency. This with a good solid 3' pipe and I was able to fairly easily break the leaf spring bolts free. I used boards to ensure the fronts tires were fairly straight, laying them alongside the tires and eyeballing to see where they lined up with the back tires which are about 4 inches wider than the front outside width. I mounted the steering stabilizer and took it for a test drive and it was good the first time, no additional adjustments needed. Feels good on the road, good around turns, and even at low speeds around the driveway, I did not notice any extra effort to turn the wheel due to the heavy spring on the stabalizer. Put about 75 miles on it and it feels solid and stable though no high winds or passing semi trucks yet. But my 2007 ford f53 22000 lb chassis under a holiday rambler admiral body has always felt pretty good. Just trying to make better, next up is the new koni evo fsd heavy duty shocks coming today.
