Crosswinds, ruts, and uneven pavement can make it feel like you’re constantly fighting the wheel. The Reflex Steering Stabilizer uses a tempered steel spring that works to keep the steering centered. When the steering is pushed off course, the spring stretches or compresses, then returns to its normal state, pulling the vehicle back to center. That tight connection between the chassis and steering mechanism keeps your line steady, even when the road or wind tries to move you around.
If you’ve ever had to oversteer to keep straight after a jolt or swerve, this setup takes that strain out of the drive. The stabilizer constantly works to return the wheel to center, compensating for oversteering so you don’t have to fight it back yourself. That means fewer corrections, less stress on your arms, and a smoother, more balanced feel through turns and lane changes.
When something sudden happens—like a blowout or hitting the edge of the road—the Reflex spring helps you stay in control. It resists the pull of the damaged side, returning the steering toward neutral so you can safely guide the vehicle. It’s one of those upgrades you don’t think about until you need it, and when you do, it makes all the difference.
Getting it mounted doesn’t require cutting or welding. The stabilizer attaches to the tie rod on one end and the chassis on the other using custom mounting brackets (sold separately). Most setups go together in about an hour with basic tools, leaving you with a cleaner, bolt-on fit that’s ready to handle the miles ahead.

The Roadmaster Reflex RV Steering Stabilizer has made a huge improvement in how our 22 E 450 coach drives. We live in South Central Kansas and wind is often a big problem . The Relex has been a great investment .
Our Ford E350 got blown all over the Interstate on trips. It was so dangerous at times. At first I installed Bilstein shocks and though they helped a little, installing the front and rear anti-sway bars and the steering stabilizer made all the difference in the world. I changed them all at the same time so I don't know which one helped the most. These are certainly quality products and are pretty easy to install.
Relatively easy install - huge difference in the steering of my Coach.

These should be standard equipment on every motorhome sold - no exceptions.
It took me about an hour to install the RM stabilizer and was surprised that no adjustment was needed after the test drive. I had to call back e Trailer to get torgue specs since it was not included in the package. Overall a great investment my van drives a lot better particularly on the freeway.
As of right now it gives a tighter feel to the steering. I had it put on by a local Rv dealer on 1/2026 for the up coming camping season. I have a Coachmen 29FW 2024
Quality built steering stabilzer. Well packaged and arrived within my expected time frame.
First, I did have to grind off corner of the plate that mounts under leaf spring bolts. It would not lay flush so I tapered one of the edges where it met the axel a little bit till it laid flush. I did buy a 3/4 inch wrench set but with an rv, it's good to have and will possible allow me to get the 22.5 inch wheels off in an emergency. This with a good solid 3' pipe and I was able to fairly easily break the leaf spring bolts free. I used boards to ensure the fronts tires were fairly straight, laying them alongside the tires and eyeballing to see where they lined up with the back tires which are about 4 inches wider than the front outside width. I mounted the steering stabilizer and took it for a test drive and it was good the first time, no additional adjustments needed. Feels good on the road, good around turns, and even at low speeds around the driveway, I did not notice any extra effort to turn the wheel due to the heavy spring on the stabalizer. Put about 75 miles on it and it feels solid and stable though no high winds or passing semi trucks yet. But my 2007 ford f53 22000 lb chassis under a holiday rambler admiral body has always felt pretty good. Just trying to make better, next up is the new koni evo fsd heavy duty shocks coming today.
Products have been installed. Will be testing this weekend to see if they improved the driving condition of the vehicle. On a short test drive, there was a marked improvement.

1 yr review. I installed this on a 2014 E450 Winnebago Cambria 30J. The was easy to do in my driveway by myself. Still working well 5,000 miles later. Would buy again.
Could not tell unit was on truck.i dont think spring is strong enough for ram 3500 van. Unit did not change handling of vehicle at all
Worked great! Much better feel in the steering! Strongly recommend for any motorhome! Our install was on a 2018 Chevy 4500 series.
Well worth the cost to remove play in steering wheel and no more white knuckle driving. Can steer with one hand now!
It took out the the death shake in the rv steering wheel every time we hit a pothole on the freeway. The rv now tracks a lot better.
The shock and hard ware arrived quickly it was easy to install with the instructions and it made a big improvement from the the stock shock Ford should get with the program and beef the components of their suspension if they are going to sell their product to the rv industry they need to improve their engineering etrailer does a great job thank you
Easy install, after installation I took the motor home out for a test drive and noticed a huge difference in how it handles. I am looking forward to driving the coach without anymore white knuckle experiences.

WOW ! What a difference this makes. I was constantly correcting the steering while going down the road on my 2019 Chevy 4500 chassis class C even with no crosswind or trucks passing. Took it out after installation and immediately noticed a big difference. Took it up to 65 and it was great. Can't wait to see how it is on my next trip. Should reduce the white nuckle experience and reduce fatigue. Not hard to install in the driveway. Didn't even jack it up. I didn't need to readjust it. I can't understand why a couple of reviews that said it did nothing.
I waited to write the review because on my initial test after install I could not tell the difference on the drive since there was virtually no wind. Today it was blowing hard with strong gusts. Drove about ten miles on the highway at 75 to 80 mph into strong cross winds and some areas with road construction in progress. It really works. Completely improved the drive. I still feel the wind bursts, but no longer have to fight for control. Highly recommend.
Word of caution: the instructions provided by Roadmaster are inaccurate for my Ford E350 Class B+ RV. I will try to attach pictures.

Works very well. I highly recommend the upgrade. The handling of my 32’ class c is so much better.
