Today we're going to take a look at the plastic shower strainer with the grid for the two inch diameter drains. This is by jr products. This shower strainer has this grid that'll replace a worn or damaged strainer in your RV sink. It is constructed of a durable plastic chrome. The grid is a metal. It is designed to fit drain openings up to two inches in diameter, and includes all the parts shown here on the table, and includes the strainer, the grid with the screw, the foam washer, and the locknut.When you'll go to install this, before you put it into the opening, you'll put your foam gasket on there.
Then you'll insert that into your opening. Then what you'll want to do is, take your lock nut and go ahead and get that started. Then tighten that lock nut all the way down. Once you get that tightened all the way down, that'll hold your strainer into place. Snug it down.
then when you go to install your grid, what you'll do is put the grid into place. then they give you this large screw that'll go down. Then it screws into the center hole right there. You tighten that down into place. Then to remove it, you remove the screw and then pop the grid out.
But That should do it for the review on the plastic shower strainer with the grid for a two inch diameter drain.
This drain comes with a foam gasket, that is indicated in the review to be placed between the drain top and shower floor. It does not include the customary rubber gasket and cardboard (friction) gasket, that are placed between the shower floor and locknut. I understand that with such installation, plumbers putty or silicone caulk would normally be between the drain top and shower floor. I’ve already had one of these drains fail with the instillation as recommended in the review, so I’m going with the customary approach this time.
