Melanie: Hey everyone. I'm Melanie here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the shower strainer. This is going to be a replacement for our shower drain on our RV if something happened, it got damaged, or it's just kind of gunked up and nasty, and we want to replace it with something a little shiny and newer. It's going to be made out of a chrome-plated steel. So it's going to be a very nice replacement for a plastic component especially, and it's going to still be able to resist most rust and corrosion.
As you can see, we have our grid at the top, so that's going to keep the hair from going down into our drain and clogging up our plumbing. It comes with the locknut and rubber washer to get everything tightened down. I'm going to thread this off so we can take a look at some measurements real quick.This is going to fit a drain opening of two inches. The actual outer diameter of our drain is 1-7/8" so that two-inch opening will work out well. The outer diameter of the top portion is going to be about 2-5/8" in diameter, so it should be a good fit.
The length of our threads is going to be about 1-1/2" long.If you need any other replacement parts for your RV, we have a lot of options here at etrailer.com.
