What is the Difference Between the GE Refrigerators # GE48FR and # GE26FR? Which do you Recommend?

I have a 2012 Cougar 5th wheel 324 RLB that had a Dometic refrigerator DM2852RBX .I removed it and want to replace it with a 12 volt refrigerator. The opening is 24 W, 25 D, 60 H. I’m thinking the GE26FR , do you agree it would work. I know I need to run wiring to it. What makes the GE48FR a $1000 more. Your thoughts on both. Thanks !

Hello David,
The reason it’s $1000 more is because of the whopping 0.2 cu. ft. of extra space..... just kidding!
The main difference comes down to the exterior and features. The # GE48FR has a sleek glass front that gives it a glossy, modern look, while the # GE26FR has a more traditional refrigerator finish. Also, the # GE48FR has the freezer on the bottom and includes door locks, which are handy when you're on the move.
On the other hand, the # GE26FR doesn’t have locks included, so you’d need to pick up the Travel Door Latch for GE Appliances RV Refrigerator # GE98FR and the Bracket Kit # GE38FR for proper installation.
Both models would fit well in your 24" W x 25" D x 60" H cutout. If it were me, I’d go with the # GE26FR, I'm more focused on keeping my food cold than on the finish. Plus, the money you save could easily buy a few loads of groceries to fill it up!
So which one are you going to go with?

I ordered the ge26fr with door lock and mounting kit. And an inverted because mine died over the winter. Always something. ??
