Question:

Can you tell me if this refrigerator door latch GE98FR will fit a GE model GLE12HSPARSS refrigerator? It’s a 2023 model serial number TT712088. 11.9 cubic inch. Looks like it should work but the fridge does not have pre-drilled holes to use. Presumably I could use small self-tapping screws. Thank you.

Hey Bob, thanks for reaching out. You are on the right track. The # GE98FR door latch can be used on your GE model GLE12HSPARSS refrigerator. There are a few models from GE that have pre-drilled holes for the latch, but as long as you're fine running a few screws into the fridge, you can definitely still use the latch. I would also make sure there is enough room between the doors to mount the latch and hardware where it won't interfere with the door gasket. As long as there is room, the latch will work just fine.
