To install, use the inlet shanks to drop the new valve and deck plate in place of your existing valve. Hand-tighten the included hardware against the back of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. Then install the shower head onto your shower supply line. Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're taking a look at this Empire Faucets, Chrome dual knob shower valve with shower head kit. If you're looking to upgrade your shower in your RV or in your camper or in your mobile home, and you're looking for a kit that has a Chrome finish and brass compression valve, this might be a kit for you to consider. Let's take a closer look at it together. Now, this feature's dual handles, as you see here with clear acrylic, July knobs. And this is a non-metallic ABS plastic construction with a Chrome finish and brass compression valves, which are gonna provide durability.
Now again, this Chrome finish is very attractive. Just be aware that it can pick up fingerprints, and smudges quite easily. So you'll wanna wipe it down occasionally just to make sure that it maintains that nice, shiny Chrome finish. Now the shower head, and arm, and flange are included. This is gonna be an easy wall mount three hole installation.
The deck plate will be included along with the mounting hardware that you need to secure this, and mount this in your shower. This is ADA compliant. And just to give you some measurements here, the base here of the shower valve, is sitting right at 10 1/4 inches long by 2 1/4 inches tall. And then coming from the shower wall that this will be mounted on, the overall depth is gonna be a 1 7/8 inches deep. If you include the handles, you're gonna be sitting at almost three inches deep from the wall that you mount this on.
Now, the shower head diameter, and by the way, the shower head is adjustable, as you see here, and it is a one setting sprayer. The diameter here is going to be 1 7/8 inches across. And then the measurement from the wall to the end of the shower head, is sitting right at about 6 1/4 inches from the wall. And the face plate does easily twist off for easy cleaning. The maximum flow rate is gonna be 2.5 gallons per minute, and then the distance between the shank inlets are eight inches.
Now this does have a limited lifetime warranty. And again, this is an all plastic construction with brass compression valves. If you're not real concerned about brass compression valves, and you're just looking for an all plastic kit, we do have that available on our website, item number EM53FR. I just needed the shower faucet for an outdoor shower/sprayer setup as the old one was cracked and leaking (did not need the shower head).The new shower faucet worked well and the specs were stated accurately on the site. Installation went smoothly except my old faucet had an offset shower feed inlet while this new one had the shower inlet in line with the hot and cold inlets. So, it was just a matter of some adjustments on the wall panel to make the straight line inlets install. The faucet alone was worth the price yet it came with the shower head too. It's all plastic but I didn't expect metal for the price point. Basically a lot of value if you are just looking to get the job done without the frills.
