Hello, neighbor. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Magnetic Door Catch Set for RV Cabinets and Drawers, and they're angle-mounted. So, folks, this two-piece magnetic door catch set helps keep cabinets and drawers latched inside your RV. So, you're gonna get two sets. So, this is one set, this is your second set.
You get the two angled brackets, so they would install pretty much something like this on the door, or maybe like that, just depends on what angle you need. You'd have the matching piece here that the screw would go through and hold in. You've got two screws in each set that are round-domed and two that are concave, convex, whichever. Basically, those would go inside there, and, as you can see, it then creates a flat part, and when you have the door, it would magnetize and stick to it. They're strong angle.
They can be used on boats, camper vans, workshops with cabinets, those kinda things. The strike plates can be recessed to reduce the gap between the cabinet door and that kinda stuff, if you wanna go through that installation process and do all that. Gives you a nice, clean, flush appearance. They are stainless steel construction, so they're gonna resist rust, corrosion, those kinda things. It's a pretty simple and easy install.
You get the included hardware. You do have to, obviously, drill and screw some screws into your cabinet doors and those kinda thing. The strike plate mounts on the inside of the cabinet door or the drawer face, so the magnet's pretty strong. You can see it kinda pushes this other magnet away, but then it'll connect to everything else with ease. So, very strong magnets, gonna work really good.

The pocket door in my new RV had no way to keep it closed. Purchased this latch and installed in about 5-6 minutes. Bathroom door now stays closed when slid shut. Magnetic latch holds door tight & secure.
I've had difficulty finding an appropriate door catch for a pocket door I have at my beach house (we intentionally did not want it to have a lock, just a catch). I checked my local hardware stores including the 2 big ones and could never find anything appropriate until I came upon the etrailer site. It was one of the first things that showed on the site (meant to be). The catch is perfect because we could add it without removing the existing handle (we placed it at the top of the door).
While not an RV the house is in the Outer Banks of NC and we can get some very strong winds with normal storms plus hurricanes so you get movement of the house with these storms, so far the catch has worked great.

The magnetic strength is excellent. However the provided screws are too small allowing the heads to pull through the holes in the metal plates. A trip to the hardware store for properly sized screws was required to complete this project.
