Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're going to be taking a look at the side mount magnetic catches for your RV cabinet. So these guys are just going to replace or add some magnets to your cabinet so they can stay closed while you're on the road and be a pretty easy way to keep those doors from swinging open. So we'll get our little magnet and then also the plate to go on our cabinet door. So this is going to be mounted kind of underneath the inside. And then as that door swings closed, magnet comes over, holds that together. Magnets, they're magic. Also, comes with hardware to mount it in place.
We'll get some little screws for our plates that go in the cabinet doors, and then also for each of the magnets to attach them to our ceiling. We'll get six of the screws that go onto the plates. Really only need two, but just in case you lose one, there's backups. They're a flush mount design so they have a countersunk sign or a little conical head there, so they'll sit nice and flush. And again, so you can see that magnetic action, they do hold pretty nicely. As far as the size for each of these pieces, give you some measurements to make sure that they will fit or match up with existing holes that you already have.
So each of the little tabs is about an inch and a quarter long by about an inch or seven eighths of an inch tall. That mounting hole is about five eighths of an inch from the center. Our magnets overall: about one and seven eighths inch long. Distance between the mounting holes is right at one and a half inch. And then they're about three quarters of an inch thick.
This kind of pulls out a little bit, so it might adjust. And about half an inch tall. That's pretty much all there is to it for these guys. You do get the two magnets and everything you see here laid out on the table, so you'll be able to do both doors if it's something that opens out. And should keep those doors closed and be an easy way to keep them from swinging out and open on you. Hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is going to be the right piece for you.
If not, we do have other options available here at etrailer.com along with a lot of other accessories and replacement parts for your RV, so check them out. Thanks for watching.
What can I say, they keep the drawers shut. Not once have they come up when traveling. They work as expected.
I believe they're going to work fine
Easy to install, good quality.
