What If I Already Have Solera Brackets Installed?

Solera Bracket onRV

Many RVs come with factory-installed Solera brackets already mounted to the wall. These two adapter brackets slide over those existing Solera mounts and secure with two M6x12 set screws on each bracket. They allow an etrailer slide-out topper to use the original mounts instead of removing them and drilling new holes into your RV wall. If the brackets are already in place and sealed, there's no sense making new holes just to solve a problem that doesn't exist.

Work great if the slide topper bracket bars fit. I bought three slide toppers off Amazon, two from one vendor and one from another (same color wasn't available for one). The two toppers had the right size bars for these adapters. the other topper's bracket bars were two large to fit, so had to remove the Solera brackets and use the ones that came with the topper.

These brackets make it much easier and quicker to install slide toppers if your rig has the Lippet awning prep.
However, of the 3 pairs I ordered, 2 pairs had misaligned set-screw holes making it very difficult to tighten.
Also, they decrease the pitch in the fabric for run-off than if one was just using a standard bracket screwed directly into the RV.
