Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this removable mounting plate for your 1st Gen MORryde StepAbove RV Steps. Now this will make your 1st Generation MORryde RV Steps removable by upgrading your standard mounting bracket to this hinged bracket here. Now this mounting bracket will replace the plate from the 1st Gen MORryde StepAbove RV Steps. And this would allow you to easily detach your steps. This is designed to work with 30 inch to 32 inch camper door frames.
Basically steps are gonna, your steps will attach right here to the step frame, using these included nylon knocking nuts and bolts. And it'll let you easily detach the steps from your doorway when you're parked in a tight lot by sliding these hinge pins right here. You just slide the pins out, that'll detach the steps from your RV. Now, installation of this will require installing the hinges by drilling into your camper floor. Need you zoom in here to show you here's the two hinges, one on each end.
So you'll basically install the hinges drilling into the camper floor using your existing hardware to secure 'em. And then again, by pulling these pins right here. From there, it'll be detachable, so your steps can come out, it won't get locked out if you park in a tight storage lot. You can just fold the steps down out of the way. This part is made in the USA, few dimensions on this.
Overall width, we put a ruler or tape measure on that. I'll be right at 27 and 5/8ths inches wide. The overall length, we spin it this way and if we go from here to here, it's gonna be right about 10 and 11/16ths inches long. And the overall height on this is about four and 3/8ths inches tall. But that's gonna do it for a look at the removable mounting plate for the 1st Gen MORryde StepAbove RV Steps.

If you have the solid steps without the quick release, this is a must. It fit perfect.
The step hinge kit and hand rail look to be very good quality will be installing the parts next week will send pix of install next week. Thanks for the quick response on part I ordered wrong
Super EZ to replace existing hinge plate. I would suggest using 3/16" x 1/2" rivets to make the job easier like I did. Note: Only use 3/16" x 3/8" rivets to reinstall the kick plate below the top step
