If you want the complete step assembly that allows the steps to automatically extend and retract with the RV door, you will need a control unit (sold separately). You will also need a switch kit (sold separately), which lets you override the automatic retraction, so the steps stay out whether the door is open or closed. The complete assembly with steps, motor, control unit, and switch kit is available under part number LC3722862.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this replacement 30 inch wide step frame for your Kwikee 34 Series RV Electric Steps. Now, this part here will replace the step frame on your Kwikee 34 Series Steps. Now, this step assembly here will include just the frame only. For these steps to work, you do need a motor, a control unit, and a switch kit, which we do sell separately on our website. And they do even offer an optional amber light kit for this, which is available, we do sell separately.
Now, this is a direct replacement frame for the part number LC3722862, which would be the complete step assembly with all those parts I just mentioned above included. And again, we sell that separately. This is a sturdy powder coated steel construction, uses weatherproof wiring to withstand the elements. Does use solid steel drive rods and stainless steel bushings to provide additional durability. And also, right where the pivot points are right here, they do use air pressed rivets to ensure long-term strength.
If you noticed on the steps themselves, they use a non-slip tread, and you can see the easy-to-see reflective strips on the step surface. To install this, it's a simple installation, has the pre-drilled mounting holes up here. Now, the hardware is not included, we do sell that separately. This part is made in the USA. Give you a few specs on this.
Right now, we have it in the extended position with the two steps out. So the extended height from the top here to the very bottom is 14 1/4 inches. If we folded these up compact, the folded height would only be 7 3/4 inches. The overall width at the widest point is gonna be right up here, and this is 32 3/8 inches. The step dimensions themselves are 30 inches wide by 10 7/8 inches deep.
And the drop or the rise, which is measured from the top step to the next step, is eight inches. Weight capacity on the steps are 300 pounds. Now, these are just a few dimension on this frame, we do list some more mounting dimensions on the product page if you need those.
