Control Your Fan with the Push of a Button

Wall Switch

Tired of yanking on a pull chain over and over to get the fan speed you want? Or grabbing a step stool to reverse your fan blade direction? This handy wall switch lets you control the fan speed, so you can turn it on low just to get a little air flowing, medium to stay comfortable, and medium-high or high on those sweltering summer days. The switch also lets you change the direction of the fan blades and turn the fan on and off with the push of a button.

Stay Comfortable All Year Round

Spinning your fan blades in the right direction is important. This reversible RV ceiling fan helps keep you, your family, and even your pets comfortable during any season and reduces the use of your air conditioner and furnace.

In the warmer spring and summer months, you should set your fan to spin counterclockwise. This creates a wind chill effect where cool air is pushed down and out and then redistributed throughout your RV, allowing you to set the temperature on your thermostat higher to avoid blasting your air conditioner all summer.

Using a ceiling fan in the winter seems backwards, right? Wrong. In fact, you should set your fan to spin clockwise at low speed to keep your RV cozy and comfortable in the chilly fall and winter months. This revolving action pulls cool air up to the ceiling and pushes warm air, which naturally rises, down along the walls toward the floor, preventing cold pockets of air from forming. In doing this, you'll be able to set the temperature on your thermostat lower in the winter.

I'm giving the fan an Excellent rating although I am still in the process of installing it. I've bench-tested it and it appears to work well. It's a heavy-duty motor and the unit appears to be well designed and built. I'm stalling it in our home, to be powered by a modest 12V solar electrical system.

It is working flawlessly. We have it mounted inside our home, powered by a small solar 12V system. We’ve had it on continuously for a year. Even on the lowest speed, it gently moves air in a fairly large room.

by:

As expected. Would be 5 stars but a little noisy at high speed.

Purchased this fan because it appeared to be the same model that had quit working. Arrived on time and literally was hanging and spinning with 25 minutes of the delivery. Thanks etrailer!

by:

This was just what I was looking for. I have run it for 7 hours on low speed like I intend to in my camper. It was silent and flowed plenty of air for sleeping. I used an old car battery that I had in the shed and it was still at 60% charge when I stopped it. Fit and finish are very good and everything was in the box with the exception of wire. I used some trailer light hook up twin lead that was left over. I would buy this again.

by:

3 months after install it sounds like a dry bearing, and it started making a clunking sound.

I reached out to the manufacturer and they suggested to take the fan blades off and reinstall them.

by:

Product arrives as promised. Undamaged.

by:

I received. My order on time. And is working fine. It almost an exact replacement.

by:

Good value for the cost of this fan. Runs good and runs quiet.Has good features with the three speed settings and reversable selection on the switch.

by: 06/06/2021

You can stand under it with a match in your hand and it would not blow it out. Totally useless!!!

by:

The part was easy to install and is very quiet. It was easy to purchase and the price was right. It was delivered on time and very easy to track.

by:

Very loud. Replaced fan with another. Wouldn’t buy again.

by:

For what it is it’s ok. The only downfall is it doesn’t move much air.

Product more than met expectations and shipping was fast. Fan is super quiet and performance is perfect.

by:

Looks good and simple to install. This is an addition to an older 5th wheel bedroom. Seems to move the air well despite the small size. Quiet and 4 speeds.

by:

A nice fan I don't like when it goes back to high speed when you turn it back on. Also, the bushing knocks when you turn it off. I think that's normal. Installing was a breeze, get it! LOL

by:

Fan was a direct replacement. Very easy to install. Works perfectly!

by:

I received no instructions with the fan. I assembled it on my bench and powered it up with a battery I had available. It seems to be good. I will install in RV over the next few days.

by:

Fan was received looking as expected. Directions were very poorly written and barely legible which is what you get with Made in China. This was important as the fan came with a wall control for speed and reverse functions which we could not use as the existing fan contol was in a 4 gang RV switch plate. The wiring was a bit confusing and we just used trial and error to get it to work.

by:

I would love to give this fan a 5-star rating, but unfortunately, it was not compatible with my Tiffin Phaeton RV and the existing wiring. There was nothing in the manual or the description that provided enough info to know before hand whether it would work. I gambled, and found that the fan requires a dedicated two-conductor wire to be in place (or run) from the fan to the switch mount.

My original HI/OFF/LOW switch is located in the nightstand which is in the slide out. While there are two wires in the ceiling (and two in the nightstand) the circuit is not dedicated and cannot be used to use the new switch.

I was able to install the new fan using the existing wiring, but without that dedicated pair, I had to stay with the original switch. That eliminated the speed and direction control (since there is no reverse switch on the new fan body). It's not the end of the world, since I can't remember a single time I reversed direction, or ever used anything other than HI.

In any case, make sure you have a dedicated pair of conductors that run to your intended switch location (along with constant +12V and (-) ground). If you do, it'll work great. If not, you may not be able to use the new switch.

On the upside, with the longer motor, the new fan sits about 3" lower from the ceiling. Combined with what looks to be a more aggressive pitch on the blades, the new fan moves more air than the old one. It's also significantly quieter. If that changes, I will amend my review.

Received product in three days. Easy install wiring instructions could be improved. Very satisfied with product.

  • How to Determine if My RV Ceiling Fan is 12 Volt or 120 Volt
The easiest way to figure out if the fan is 12v or 120v is to try to turn the fan on while you aren't hooked up to shore power. If it turns on without being hooked up to shore power or a generator, then it is a 12 volt fan. According to all of the owners manuals that I could find in that year range, Keystone used 12 volt fans in their units, including your Raptor. If you are looking to replace the fan, I recommend looking at the East Seventeen series. They are brushed nickel with either...

  • Fan Motor and Wall Switch Wiring Diagram for the LaSalle Bristol 12V RV Ceiling Fan
That does sounds frustrating, Cody. But, I do think I've stumbled onto something you can use. According to the instructions, the wiring for the actual fan motor goes: -Connect the white (positive) wire from motor to the white (positive) wire from the ceiling, -Connect the motor grounding wire from to the grounding wire in the ceiling, -Connect the blue (negative) wire from motor to the blue (negative) wire to the ceiling. After making the wire connections, the wires should be spread...

  • Can I use a 110v Ceiling Fan to Replace my 12v Ceiling Fan
This is not really the recommended setup, but you could use a 110v fan like the 42" Hugger Style RV Ceiling Fan # 277-000086 in your 12v DC setup if you have a power inverter on your 5th wheel that supplies both 110v and 12vDC power throughout the trailer- However, this would require some re-wiring of your trailer's electrical system. To do this you would need to re-wire the existing system from the 12vDC power it is currently drawing from to your inverter so that it could draw from the...

  • Recommended Black Modern Ceiling Fan For A R.V.
I took a look at what we carry, and I was able to find you something, however I wasn't able to find a black and gold fan like you're looking for. Instead, the 12V RV Ceiling Fan w/ Wall Switch # 344410TSDC42BNBK. This fan is made from black oak wood, is complemented with brushed nickel undertones, and measures 42" in diameter. Additionally, this fan also includes a wall switch that controls 4 fan speeds and is powered off of a standard 12V design.

  • Best 12 Volt RV Ceiling Fan with No Light
If you are adding a fan to your camper I would choose the East Seventeen 12V RV Ceiling fan # 344410TSDC42BNWH. This fan has 4 speeds and a 42" diameter so it will move a lot of air for you. It is the largest 12 volt, no light, fan blade we offer. With no light and the hugger-style design it doesn't hang too low either. With this being a 12 volt fan the install won't be as difficult because most campers will already be wired with 12V in the ceiling. It comes with a wall switch to control...
