How to Disable the Electric Extension on Electric Camper Steps
Updated 11/17/2025 | Published 12/24/2024 >
Question:
Hi I own a 2018 Coachmen Mirada 35LS. With my handicap I can barely manage to step into my RV. This platform step would take me to the landing of the entryway. However In order to utilize this product I need to be able to disable the electric steps from extending. Are you able to suggest an easy way to accomplish this? Thanks

Danny, I'm not seeing the steps you're referencing because the Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail and Landing # EHS-102-R are not electric. But, to disable the electric extension all you'd have to do is leave the wires that activate the switch disconnected.

Hey Danny, did disconnecting the wires stop your electric steps from extending like you wanted? Knowing how that worked could help others trying to use the same porch step setup.
