They do the job. I can't say that they look like they were custom-made for my new vehicle, but I trust them to stay on and keep my boat on the car. They hold securely.
I loved it but recently took it down due to noise. If there is a solution please let me know. I will put it back on once a year for hunting.

Love the Yakima LocknLoad 55x49 Platform.. would have been nicer if it was just a few inches longer. Fits really well on the 2019 Grand Cherokee.. and looks even better but at highway speeds (60mph+) you will hear it up there... I've also noticed .5 mpg less which is no biggie...I didn't think the Landing Pads (18) were very stable but once in place.. its rock solid!

This thing added a great deal of flexibility to my 4Runner. Rock solid and almost limitless options for roof storage allowed me to customize it to transport a kayak and roof box that would never have been possible otherwise.
Love it! Used it on our Subaru Outback when we wanted a firmer and wider platform than the stock crossbars. The platform is even more useful than I thought because you can mount accessories (e.g., canoe carriers) all the way to the edge if you use the T-channel to secure them. I would've probably gotten one size smaller had I realized that.
I am going to include the Landing Pads, Skyline Towers, LockNLoad adapters, and Pivoting Mounts that are all required for my vehicle in this review of the 84" x 54" LockNLoad Platform. First, I had done months of research trying to figure out what would work and meet my needs for a 2008 GMC Yukon XL. Without the help of etrailer's agent, Ashley, I'd probably still be trying to figure things out! Ashley was patient and thorough, she made sure I had all the parts I needed for a fairly complex (and large!)project. I cannot thank her enough!
On to the assembly and installation: Ashley confirmed that following instructions was key to efficient building - I found that combining online instructions with the included hard copies worked best. As an example, the online fastener images and descriptions are far better than the paper ones. Then, having the paper instructions in hand made "in the moment" progress much faster. All of the Yakima parts fit together perfectly, and by methodically following the instructions (I cannot stress this enough!), including pre assembling Landing Pads, Towers, and Pivoting Mounts, there was no need to backtrack. Once I had a day to devote to the project, everything went very smoothly. Placing the large Platform on the mounts does require two people, but the rest was easy for one fairly handy person to accomplish. Making adjustments to be sure the Platform is centered and square to the roof took some time but it's worth it in the end. Again, thanks to etrailer and particularly Ashley! It was a pleasure doing business with you!
If you need extra flexibility for carrying items with t-slot mounts this platform is great. We got it for or Audi Q7, primarily because in addition to carrying various stuff we needed to carry a spare tire (Audi just gives a can of goo for your flats) while towing. In addition to the t slots the slats also give lots of flexibility for strapping/ratchet strap mounts etc. Be warned the Yakima mounting accessories are VERY expensive. Quality is very good (except perhaps the plastic parts of the frame gave me pause), it is very sturdy and assembly is straighforward. Although not receommended, we were able to mount a rooftop box. I heard a rumor they may be coming out with t slot roofbox mount kits if you don't want to DIY. Note the box needs to have a flat bottom (lots of the Thule boxes won't work).

Mounted to the top of my 2018 F-150 Super Crew Cab. Had Yakima Baselines, with HD Bars, HD Bar Adapters and the locknload crossbar adapters. Wished I was able to install it without crossbars as it requires that I buy them, also adds a bit of height to the the locknload as well.
Very well built, had my wife (125lbs) walking around on it after I mounted the locknload. Took about an hour to assemble the locknload and maybe another hour or two of adjusting the bars to where I wanted the locknload to sit on the roof. Other than it looks a bit too high I do love them. Will probably see what I can do about lowering the locknload in the future.
Excellent quality platform and kit! I looked all over for something that could be mounted directly to my 2015 Sienna factory rails. This did the job!
So I set this up for my wife's rig for our trip to Pismo Beach, and gotta say loving it! May end up getting one for my other car!
I've been slowing outfitting both of my Subaru's and etrailer.com has been my go to resource not only do they have alot of gear to choose from but shipping and customer service is top-notch! You'll get a followup after your purchase with help/videos on how to properly install if you are a DIYer don't install untill after you have reviewed, as there are alot of helpful hints so your install is smooth.
If this were the Yakima site, I'd give the platform 5 stars. It has been amazing. I tried to buy it through etrailer, but the package came missing half of the pieces. I waited for weeks as etrailer said they'd send the missing pieces. They never came, so I returned it. That was the third time I tried to order a roof rack through etrailer only to be missing parts or have the parts broken.
