How's it going today You seem like the type of person that has a bunch of stuff. If you have stuff on your 2021 GMC Acadia, the Rhino rack sports roof rack is gonna allow you to get those bigger, bulkier and sometimes dirty items out there on the road. So I'm gonna take a closer look at the materials and see how well it fits on our vehicle. So this guy is actually designed to give you a lot of flexibility. It's gonna work with most of your rooftop accessories, so roof baskets, kayak carriers, bike carriers, you're gonna be good to go, and also for tying down directly. Now the end cap pops right off and you're gonna have a channel right here that works with all with lock accessories.
So that's gonna keep it really easy for those things to just drop in and lock into place. Now as far as the polymers that they use for this guy, it's designed to deal with all the elements, just like the same type of material they use with your vehicle. It's designed to be in all weather. Now the contour around your raised bar is gonna grip it nicely. So in your Acadia, this guy is super easy to get set up.
Only thing you're gonna really need is a tape measure and you'll be able to get this guy installed. So let's go ahead and get this guy put on top. Rhino rack has a setup that you can get put together pretty easily. It's pretty straightforward. You're gonna pop off your end cap and then you're gonna be able to remove the included measuring stick.
Now you can use this to get that precise measurement. I'm just gonna use my tape measure that I have here on my hip, but you can trim it the size to make that setup more easy when you actually try to, if you're gonna remove it and take it off a lot. Most people, once they go on, they stay on outside of going in the car wash. So you know, that's just how it is with mine, I know. So I'm gonna go ahead and get this guy put on here.
I'm gonna take my tape measure and make sure I have the appropriate spread for the space between and where I'm gonna place it, I'm just gonna use the OEM mounting points for the OEM roof rack. All right, so I'm just gonna reach across and I'm just dropping it right in between the two mounting points for the GMC roof rack. And I'm gonna slide it over. Now I'm just gonna use my tape measure to make sure that I have the same amount of hangover on both sides and we'll just go back and forth. From there, we're gonna take our screwdriver, well, our torque wrench and tighten down our screws to make sure everything is nice and secure. These bolts are kind of long, so you might be tempted to want to torque it all the way down, but best practice is bouncing back and forth as you tighten it just to make sure that you're not pulling from one side or the other. Now that we hear that click, we know that we're torqued down. We won't have to worry about over tightening. We can throw our end cap on and we've completed our setup. Rhino rack does a good job of creating products that you can just put to work. It doesn't take a whole lot of setup and you can rely on 'em to give you that adventure that you're looking for. And once you get this guy set up on your vehicle, let me know what you think because I love having that interaction with you.
