Hello, neighbor, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at a replacement SKS lock core, or same key system, for your Yakima racks and carriers. So, folks, this replaces or adds one, quantity one, SKS lock cylinder to your system to allow you to have all your Yakima products to be keyed alike. Now this particular guy fits a A144 again, A144, it's engraved there on the cylinder. And, as you can see, it's got the front there where the key goes in, and just all your tumblers and everything. Now, I wanna point out that you will need, if you don't already have one, a, what's called, a change key or control key for the Yakima SKS systems.
That's sold separately. A control key simply looks like a key, but it's really just a tool technically. It's blank key fob if you will. You basically stick it inside the cylinder here, and then it allows you to then insert it into the rack or carrier and put it in place. And then, once you pull that out, you then lock the core, or unlock it, and it's in place.
So, again, it is not a master key. A lot of people think it's a master key, it is not. It simply goes into a already unlocked lock core to either remove or replace a lock core. Folks, that's gonna wrap it up. I'm Steven, thanks for watching, and have a great day.
