Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Swagman Replacement Vinyl Cradle Padding. This is gonna replace one vinyl padding insert for your 1999 and newer Swagman Original Series Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier. This is going to allow you to repair the bike rack without having to buy a whole new cradle. It just will snap in place on the top or the bottom plate of your cradle.
And because this is a direct replacement from Swagman, you can trust it is gonna fit right in place of that original. And so, no worries about fit issues or compatibility problems or anything like that. So, if you are needing to replace one of those original vinyl padding inserts for your Swagman Original Series Bike Rack, this is gonna be exactly what you need. That completes our look for today. I was given a Swagman original 3 bike rack from a friend, but it needed keys for the lock and new cradles. Thanks to etrailer they had the cradles as the originals were in pretty rough shape. Had one small problem as the price was not right and quickly resolved after contacting etrailer. They arrived in a short time after ordering. The old cradles were easy to remove and the new ones were as easy to install. They work perfect and now I'm ready to roll.

This replacement vinyl cradles for the swagman bike carrier, fit exactly like the factory ones simple to install. Made very good quality. Very satisfied will everything including cost and free shipping.

It is still in good shape. I used them a lot, very satisfied.
Nice for the type of bike carrier. Be careful not to over tighten larger frame bikes or vinyl will be damaged.
These are a great replacement for my bike rack. I purchased the rack second hand from a resale shop. My first trip out I discovered that the rubber was deteriorating, my bike slid all over the place and left behind a smelly rubbery goo. Found these bad boys online, ordered them and after some admittedly fast shipping and about 5 minutes... once was old is now new again. Great product, was as described, easy to install. Couldn't ask for more.
Perfect fit, easy to install, and good quality. These secure and protect my bikes in transit, which is all I asked. After replacing the vinyl cradles (I like the new grey ones better than the original red), I sprayed a little flat black paint on a few spots, and my Swagman bike rack is as good as new again.

The vinyl cradles for the bikes are holding up just fine. We used them several times this summer and they are in great shape and do their job well!
They look just like the original.
The replacement pads for my bike rack arrived in short order. The pads were excellent and fit perfectly. The customer service was more than excellent and shipping charges were way less than I had anticipated. I would recommend etrailer to anyone.

After a year, still working well with no major wear.
We had used our Swagman bike carrier for nearly 10 years, and the vinyl cradle padding had worn out. We purchased new cradle pads a year ago and I can now report that, in addition to being easy to install, they have done their job beautifully. They will last another 10 years!

My rack is as good as new now!!!! thank you Etrailer! I have a HiddenHitch(HH) branded Bike rack that looks just like the Swagman one. Either HH sold to Swagman or Swagman licensed the design to HH years ago. HH no longer had these in their parts inventory and you can't get them from HH. Either way this is indeed the proper part if you have the HH branded version of this bike rack. Also if like me you leave your rack on your vehicle you may find the threads of the thumbscrews rusting over time and becoming difficult to operate due to the rust. You can see in the pics, just add a bit of anti seize to the threads and work them back and forth to spread it. You will have rust free threads for a long time.

Very well thank you, glad you had them. I have been using the swagman bike rack often and they holding up as good as I had hoped.
