Now this is going to replace the 20 foot long control cable which connects the wall control panel to your MaxxFan Plus 4-speed roof vent. And on your screen and for your reference, I am putting the model numbers of the wall control panel and the MaxxFan Plus 4-speed roof vents that this is going to work with. And this control cable is exactly like what originally came with your MaxxFan Plus 4-speed roof vent. It is directly from MaxxAir so you can trust that it's going to fit right in place of the original.
You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. Again, this is a 20 foot long cable. So if you are needing to replace the control cable which connects the wall control panel to your MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus 4-speed roof vent, this is going to be exactly what you need. Here's the thing about this cable - is it the correct cable? Yes. Does it work? Yes. Is this a textbook example of corporate greed by making something otherwise public-domain into an expensive proprietary product? Also yes.
This looks like an RJ-11 cable and the connectors indeed are. However, as I only discovered after trying to use a much more reasonably priced (and appropriate length) cable from Amazon that MaxxAir swaps the pinout on these cables so you have to buy theirs. (That is, the order of the wires is the same, L to R, on each connector as opposed to on a standard RJ-11 where they are reversed.)
So if you are considering whether you can avoid buying this by getting an RJ-11 elsewhere... probably not. If you have the correct crimping tool and connectors/cable to make your own, that will work. But this is just ridiculous how you have to buy a 20' long cable that is easily 4x more expensive than it needs to otherwise be.
