Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a brief look at this replacement, self-lubricating bushing for your Lippert electric coach step. This self-lubricating bronze bushing is going to replace one of the original bushings that came inside the joint assemblies on your single, double, or triple electric Lippert coach step, or Stromberg Carlson sliding step. This self lubricating bushing is going to keep the joint moving smoothly and it does not require grease. So let me see if I can line this up here for you real quick. Bring my ruler in, just give you some measurements.
The outer diameter is half an inch and the inner diameter is, lining that up there, we're sitting right at three eights of an inch. And then the length, we're sitting right at about five sixteens of an inch. So if you are needing to replace one of the original bushings that came inside the joint assemblies on your single, double, or triple electric Lippert coach step, or Stromberg Carlson sliding step, this is going to be exactly what you need. That's going to conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you.
Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
If you have newer Kwikee steps that use those giant rivets at the pivot points, you know they can wear out and the steps get a lot of vertical sag after a year or two, especially on the rear side of the RV. Apparently no one at Lippert knows that unlubricated metal-on-metal wears out...
Our new motorhome, picked up in 2019 has Series 25 triple steps and the giant rivets were pulling through the step after a few months of non-full time use. The warranty replacement steps did not pull through but after a year or two the left side had a noticeable sag on the left (rear) side.
I removed the steps and used an angle grinder to buzz the giant rivets off one at a time. These bronze bushings fit the holes in the steps perfectly. Even though some of the holes in the steps had gotten oblong at the bottom of the hole due to metal-on-metal wear the bushings fit well.
I then used long hex head shoulder bolts so the shoulder, the smooth part of the shank, extended all the way through the bushings. I did not want the bolt threads cutting into the bushing. I added a few extra flat washers over the protruding threads under the step and used a self-locking nut under the steps where they are mostly hidden. I then painted the bolts and nuts black.
Now I can just use a wrench and socket to tighten up the steps a few times a year and the steps feel as good as when they were new. Prior to the repair, the left bottom step would sag an inch and a half when stepped on. Now it's barely 1/4", if that.
With two people the whole job took about five hours to accomplish because we had to figure it out as we went. Two people are needed because these steps are very heavy.
This repair is far cheaper than buying new steps that are just going to wear out again.
Had to use this on my RV electric step made by Lippert. It fit perfectly and returned the operation of the stairs to original!
Also the best price available anywhere!
Received item quickly and worked like a charm.

bushings are working great after a year in the motor home. Stairs have opened and closed many times in the past year
Received Lippert Electric Step Joint Assembly Hardware kit in a timely manner last year. The product received was as expected. I installed the parts on my Tiffin Class A Breeze coach step, and it has worked fine for the past year. No complaints.
There was a mixup on my order. I ordered and paid for 10, but was only shipped one bearing. Apparently someone in shipping had a bad day. I contacted etrailer and they immediately shipped the remaining nine bearings.
I was rebuilding the Lippert entry steps on our 2014 Tiffin Allegro RED 33AA. Upon disassembly of the steps I found some of the bolting worn and many of the brass bushings worn/broke. I had previously purchased parts from etrailer.com and found the parts on their website. The parts were delivered promptly and were exactly as advertised. Will definitely check first at etrailer.com for any future RV part needs.
I had to install a new motor for the power steps of my Monaco....I disassembled the steps and decided to rebush the pivot. These bushings worked perfectly. MY steps haven't been this good since day one.
Good price, delivery and customer servi ce.

Bushings look to be identical to originals. Package arrived via mail in an acceptable amount of time. I would purchase from this company again.
