Hello neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer, and today we're gonna talk about the Ignik Gas Growler X. Now the Gas Growler X is a 10 pound or two-and-a-half gallon propane tank that is meant for portability. Filled up completely, it weighs about 25 pounds, so, very easy to manage and move around and take with you here and there, especially on those camping trips. We're being able to keep things portable and light and movable. Very, very accessible. This tank is a steel, a welded steel tank.
It is DOT compliant by all of its specifications, so it is safe to travel in your car, boat, or RV. Not only is the Gas Growler X portable, it's also refillable, which means you don't have to mess around with these little green one pound tanks anymore. These disposable tanks, you never seem to use it all up. You end up with empties or half-empties laying around all the time, and it's generally just a big waste. This is gonna hold roughly the same as 10 of these, and the refill cost of this is about the same as purchasing two of these.
So on top of the tank here, we do have our refill port here in the back. On the front, we have a standard Type 1 connection, and this is what you'll be able to use. It's a female connection, so grab your accessory with the Type 1 male connection and plug it right in. Twist it tight so that your connection is secure. And then turn the top knob counterclockwise to open up the flow of propane.
All right, and when you're all done with it, an empty can of this is gonna weigh about 16-1/2 pounds. So again, the portability and the fact that you can refill it and use it over and over is gonna come in really handy on all those different kind of camping trips and things where you would use it. So you'll be able to use it with, you know, your portable camp stove or grill, your portable fireplace, or a propane heater that you're using as well.
