Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this CURT Adjustable Pintle Hook Mounting Plate for two and a half inch hitches. Has a seven and a quarter inch long shank and a 20,000 pound weight capacity. Now, this hitch mounted adapter plate provides an adjustable height mounting point for a pintle hook. Now, the pintle hook is not included.
We do sell those separately on our website. And I did wanna pop up an insert just to give you an example of what one of those would look like. You can see that CURT pintle hook is designed to mount right into these mounting plate holes. And if you notice on this plate, it has eight holes that'll provide three, one, two, three, so three different mounting positions for your pintle hitch, so that you can match your trailer height. This is designed to be installed only in the drop position, like it is shown here.
Application. Fits two and a half inch by two and a half inch trailer hitch receivers. Weight capacity on this is 20,000 pounds. It is a sturdy steel construction. You can see it is a nice, solid shank.
It does have a durable carbide black powder coat finish on it. Now, when you do install this into your hitch, it will require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock to secure it. Those items we do sell separately on our website. The hitch pin hole diameter here is five eighths of an inch. Now, the shank length we mentioned, which would be measured from the center of the hitch pin hole to the front of the plate, if we put a ruler on that, just wanted to show you, that will measure to the center of the plate right here, seven and a quarter inches for the shank length.
The mounting plate itself, overall height on it, it's gonna measure seven and a quarter inches for the height. The width, five inches. And the last thing I wanna measure is these mounting holes. The dimensions on these we're gonna measure horizontally center to center. And then we're gonna measure vertically center to center. So if we go center to center horizontally, be right at three and three eighths inches. And if we go vertically, one and three quarter inches. And the size of these mounting holes is nine and 16ths of an inch. But that's gonna do it for the review on this CURT Adjustable Pintle Hook Mounting Plate for two and a half inch hitches with the seven and a quarter inch long shank.
