George: Today, well be reviewing part number BWPMHD14003. This is the B and W Pintle hood mounting plate for two-inch hitches. The hitch mount adapter place can provide a good mounting for it for a Pintle hook, which is going to be sold separately.Its going to offer three positions thats going to let you customize the height of the Pintle. You position one, position two. Your position three is going to offer four holes on each side of the mounting plate.This is made from a sturdy steel construction. Its going to feature the nice solid shank here at the back of the adapter.
Its also going to feature a high gloss black pattern coated finish. Its going to stand up really well with rusting and corrosion. Now, this portion here is going to be the portion of the sides into the receiver tube of your hitch. Youre going to push it in until you get your pin holes to line up with one another, and then youll need to install a hitch pin and clip, or a hitch pin and lock. Those are going to be sold separately. You can check out your options right here at ETrailer.com. It is designed for two hitch by two hitch trailer hitch receivers.
Its going to offer a weight capacity of 16,000 pounds. If we take a look at the mounting plate dimension, its going to give us an overall width of 5 inches and an overall height of right at 7 inches. The mounting holes measure center on center and separated by 1 of an inch, and go in this directions center on center. Theyre going to be separated by 3 3/8 of an inch. If we take a measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the shank, thats going to give some measurement of two and a half inches. Measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the upright portion right here measuring to the base of the weld, thats going to give some measurement of 5 inches, and then the distance that we have from the center of the hitch pin hole to the front of the mounting plate, thats going to give some measurement of about 8 inches. Now, the overall length measuring from end-to-end, thats going to give us some measurement of about 11 inches.
Very simple installation to get your Pintle hook on there. All you have to do is after you have one or after you purchase one, again, it just goes on the front portion here. Youre going to have three different mounting options or mounting location, those pinholes are going to line up perfectly with one another. Then all you have to do is just install your hardware. Its also a very simple installation.
Put it in our hitch. What you got to do is take the shank and slide it in to the receiver tube, line up your pin holes, and then install your hitch pin and clip, your hitch pin and lock. Get It. Its going to be sold separately. The one Im using for our demonstration today is part number PC3. Its going to be your 5/8 inch pin. Its going to come with the clip.
