The housing of each slide-on mirror is constructed of durable ABS plastic, as are the included components.
This set fits factory mirrors like those pictured above.
These towing mirrors are designed to seamlessly fit the contours of your factory side-view mirrors. Each one includes felt padding inside the housing that protects the factory mirror body from scratches and scuffs. Installation is a snap - just slide the towing mirror over your OEM mirror and insert the provided arm and hand knob through the back of the mirror housing. Then hook the arm around the inside edge of your OEM mirror. Finally, tighten the hand knob to secure the towing mirror in place.

Today we'll be reviewing part number CTM3000. These we're the original custom towing mirrors from Longview. They are a slide on design and both the driver and passenger side mirrors are included. The slip on mirrors are going to provide excellent towing visibility. The mirrors come complete with hardware and they're easily installed in just a few minutes without any tools. It's going to use a positive hook and knob method to secure the mirror.
Once that's fully secure, it's also going to help reduce wind noise and vibration. It has these nice, padded, adhesive-backed pads that go on this portion of the mirror. That's going to absorb any of that vibration. It's also going to protect the factory mirror from being damaged by the slip on mirror. One of the neat features about these mirrors is that they are not going to restrict the breakaway function of the OEM mirror housing or the adjustment of the glass mirror on your factory mirror. Again, the driver and passenger side mirrors are included.
You can see that they are very aerodynamic. They're also going to maintain the aerodynamics of the factory mirror. They easily install. It's a tool free installation. They're not going to scratch or mark your OEM mirrors and they have a premium glass that's really going to help minimize distortion and glare. The way this works is you would install the pads according to the instructions.
Again, they just have the backing there. Once you peel that off it's going to have adhesive so it will stick to the surface that you need it to. Once you have those installed, you can slide this portion over the factory mirror. You're going to take the hook, hook inside the factory mirror between the housing and the mirror. The threaded portion comes back through this hole and then all you have to do is install the little thumb screw there and that's going to secure it all in place.
Just get that all the way tightened down and it's going to give you that nice secure fit that you're looking for. We'll go over a few measurements. We're just going to use one mirror since they are both going to be the same. You can see here that the mirror face is a manual adjustment. You can achieve the angle that you need simply just by pressing in on each corner. The mirror face is going to give us a measurement of 4 3/8" by 5 1/2". The overall length of the mirror itself from the edge of the housing to the edge of the housing and I am including the mount location here in the back, it's going to give us a measurement of about 16". Again, that's going to be the same for each mirror. That's going to do it for today's review of part number CTM3000. These are the Longview original custom towing mirrors for both the driver and passenger side of your vehicle. .

After a year of using these on my 2022 Ram 1500 while towing my travel trailer I have found nothing to complain about. They fit perfect, work as designed. Install and remove very easy with no damage to my mirrors and the power fold option still works perfect. Signal lights and puddle lights still work as designed with the mirrors on as well.
The mirrors fit perfect. Easy to adjust the mirrors . No distortion from the mirrors, nice clear view. Easy to put on and take off. Four stars for the thickness of the plastic where the "hook" goes through to secure the nut down. Afraid of breaking it when tightening the nut. The cut out for the light is good.
The product was as described and fit on my mirrors perfectly.
Product was shipped in its origin item box which is not built for commercial shipping purposes. Box arrived to my home via UPS very damaged (though I don't actually know if UPS damaged the item box or if the mirrors were shipped in a damaged box by etrailer warehouse).
One star deducted due to this shipping oversight.
Luckily the mirror assemblies were not damaged in any way despite only light packing paper being used to wrap the mirrors in the box.
I bought these for a 2020 Ram. They fit perfectly. They fasten securely to the OEM mirror. Pretty solid and seem to be of good quality, and they don’t cover the mirror turn signals or puddle lights. Would definitely recommend these to a friend.

Good mirrors for my older dodge
The fit and view seem fine. Using both pads there is very little vibration. A better fit than the strapped set I used in the past. I would recommend them.

Good product but I was a little worried about the way they attached so I added a self tapping screw through the bottom and into the stock mirror housing. Good and solid and the hole is not visible when the screw is removed.
I’m not able to give an accurate review as the truck has been off the road. The mirrors seemed to work fine for the short time I used them
Received my order promptly, packed very well. Connected them to my side mirrors, slid them right on without any problems. I was a bit worried they would be loose but they are very snug with the rubber pads attached to them. I had been using the side view mirrors with the rubber straps but those mirrors had a lot of vibration to them, these have no movement whatsoever, highly recommend these, very satisfied customer!
Very good product fitment is perfict, have had no issues at all, and etrailer.com is great to work with, I will defying be doing more business with them in the future.

Still works great after a year
A one year review...sheesh. this was one of the worst purchases I've made. I ordered these for my towing rig, a 1991 dodge ram 250. They constantly fell off whenever I would shut the doors. Constantly. I would always have to slide them back on into position. Maybe because they're chrome mirrors I dunno. The sticky pads inside did not hold them firm. But my dad bought a new truck and 5th wheel and I mentioned these mirrors by name for him to avoid.
Threw them in the trash. I don't know if the mirrors were at fault or my truck just vibrates too much. Rear vision was useless as the mirror vibrated so bad. I tried to tighten mounting knob but it snapped off. I tried another type of universal towing mirror but the angle of the Dodge door wouldn't allow the installation.
I recently tried Dometic aero mirrors and had same issues as the slide on mirrors, bad vibration and mounting screws came loose.
Frustrated
Poor instructions and weak attachment design. Don’t expect the plastic hook will last very long.
After running these for a year can make a good review of how they work. First thing is they do not come with enough foam to make them fit tight to the truck mirriors so they vibrate very bad, but to fix that I got some foam tape backed door weatherstrip and added to tighten them up. Made it usable but still vibrates. Don't expect to see anything at all threw the mirriors when idling at a light as there is no way to get that vibration out with having a cummins in the truck. Also these will test how good the bushings are in your mirriors still fighting mine to keep them from constantly folding in on the highway.
All in all these are a very good option for the type of mirriors we have on our truck. I do recommend.
