It's built for BIG! I had no idea it would be as big as it is. It'll take up half my cargo space but that's ok. Looks very sturdy. Wide enough that my boy ought to not mind. Doesn't have to worry bout falling off. It's snowing now, didn't get to check it out last night but I believe it will be wonderful. Will have to use both ramps forRebel to get in back but I believe he'll be able to get in front or back seat with one ramp and stool. He WILL LEARN AND WANT TO USE IT!!! He's pretty opinionated but no choice. It is definitely made to last, very beefy and I love the rubber ridged surfaces. My boys 12 with BAD arthritis. He began as my emotional support guy but over the years I think I'm his now. Were never apart. This has lasted longer than both of my marriages and I want him to be around 12 more years. I will try to send pic when we can use it. I do think it is worth every bit that it cost. I'm glad I found ya'll. Everything else I saw online looked little, cheap or scary. Of course I'll be doing all the work but I have nothing better to do..I think a lot of people will approach me with questions when they see us in operation. I got this ramp as an upgrade. I have a 130lb pet pig I put in the back of my station wagon to take to the vet, and the old ramp would bend in the middle underneath him. It was also too slippery for his hooves. I found this ramp worth the money because it is much less slippery and only bends a little bit when he's standing right over the crease. For a normal pet I'm sure it would be fine.
Added benefit is the weight and the built-in handles on the sides. I'm a petite person and the old ramp was heavy and unwieldly to lug around and set up. This is so much easier to use. It's lightweight while still tough.
I was also uncertain if it really would have enough traction to stay put, but I didn't have any problems, even though I used it on lots of different surfaces.
It wasn't as easy to clean pig poop off it as I'd hoped, but again, most people won't have that problem.
Overall, a well-made, quality product that fit my needs.
