I have exactly what you need.

Since your 2018 DRV Mobile Suites 38RSSA has the factory Lippert 1716 pin box, a loaded pin weight of approximately 4,100 lbs, and you're towing with a 2023 Ram 3500 dually with the factory OEM 5th wheel prep package, you will want the B&W 5th Wheel Setup with Replacement Gooseneck Pin Box for Lippert 1621/1621HD # BW32RV along with the Shim Kit for B&W 5th Wheel-to-Gooseneck Pin Box for Lippert 1116 and 1716 # BW57MV. The shim kit adapts the # BW32RV to the Lippert 1716 bolt pattern.

This setup is a huge upgrade over the factory pin box. It does an excellent job of reducing chucking and road shock, and you'll get your truck bed back when you're not towing. The # BW32RV comes with the replacement pin box, new mounting hardware, the B&W gooseneck ball, and safety chain loops, so the shim kit is the only additional part you'll need.

If you already have the B&W gooseneck ball and safety chain loops installed in your truck, you can get just the B&W 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box for Lippert 1621/1621HD # BW83RV instead. You'll still need the Shim Kit # BW57MV to make it compatible with your Lippert 1716 pin box.

I was so excited when B&W finally released this. It took them a little longer, but it was worth the wait. They teamed up with SuperSprings to build suspension right into the pin box, so instead of every bump and expansion joint getting transferred into your truck, the suspension absorbs it before it gets to you. The result is a much smoother ride with noticeably less chucking, all while letting you tow from your factory gooseneck ball.

I also like that it gives you the smoother ride of a cushioned pin box without having to keep a fifth wheel hitch in the bed. When you're done towing, pull the gooseneck ball out and you've got your bed back. That's hard to beat.
