Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this Elk Trailer Hitch Receiver Cover. A cover like this is going to serve at least two purposes for you, you can show your love of the great outdoors while at the same time, keeping your hitch receiver free and clear of any kind of rust or dirt buildup. Frequently, whenever you leave your hitch receiver open, it can build up with rust and debris that can make it a little more difficult to insert your accessories such as your bike rack, so by having this hitch cover installed, you're going to be keeping the inside of your receiver clean while showing your love for the great outdoors. Now, this is an entirely plastic tube cover, and so, it's a very durable plastic, and it has this acrylic face here that features this beautiful elk, and this is going to fit your 1 1/4 inch trailer hitch receivers. Now, this is going to be a quick installation, the cover's going to slide easily into your hitch receiver. It does require a hitch pin and clip, that is not included with this, so if you are in need of that, on your screen, I am including our item number for the pin and clip that will work for this, just put that item number in the search field of our website here at etrailer.com, and it will take you to that pin and clip.
Now, let me go ahead and give you some overall dimensions to make sure that this is going to work out for you. Looking at the overall width, we are sitting right at about 5 1/8 inches across, and then looking at the overall height, we're sitting right at about 3 7/8 inches tall. And looking at the back of the cover here, I'm putting my ruler up to the back of the cover, so from the back of the cover to the center of our hitch pin hole, we're sitting right at about 3 3/8 inches, and then if I line up my ruler, at the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of this shank, we're sitting right at about 5/8 of an inch. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..

A year into owning this hitch cover and I wouldnt change a word of initial review. It has a years of worth of Midwest winter road salt, dust and car washes applied to it and it still looks great. I have the expected dings and small gouges from normal road debris but the graphics havent faded and still looks great.

Still hanging on and has not lost color! I still see it as a possible freebie for a order more then a sale item.

I broke it again backing into a driveway in Florida as the driveway pitch was very steep. Have not bothered to order another one just to break it. I will probably just repair this one. Otherwise, we like it.

I loved my hitch cover but it broke about 6 months ago when I took my car into a car wash. I was planning to get a new one to replace it.
