Today we're going to be taking a look at part #AMG102809. This is the Batman logo trailer hitch receiver cover for 2" hitches. It's going to feature the officially licensed Batman logo, directly here on the face plate. The unit is designed to slide into your trailer hitch receiver. It's going to help keep out dirt and grime which is ultimately going to prevent rust and corrosion to the hitch. We're going to have the screen printed colored emblem with a ABS plastic frame so it's very stylish and durable. That's going to sit on a black powder coated base that's designed to resist rust and corrosion.
The shank back here is also made from a metal construction that has the same black powder coated finish on it so it's going to stand up well to the elements also. They're going to include a foam casket. This goes over the shank and it's going to sit in between the opening of your trailer hitch and the back of the face plate. That's going to prevent any rattling that you may experience as you travel down the road. You can see right here on the back of the shank we're going to have our pinhole. This is going be a little bit elongated, so it's not going to be your standard 5/8" pinhole. It's actually going to measure 11/16" by 3/4" so it will accept your standard 5/8" pin.
Now your pin and clip or or hitch pin and lock are going to be sold separately but that is required to get the security in your hitch. Again, the unit is designed for 2" by 2" trailer hitch receivers. If we take a measurement of the face, it's going to give us an overall width measurement of about 5" and the overall height is going to measure about 3 1/". Measuring from the back of our face plate to the center of our hitch pinhole, that's going to give us a measurement of about 2 5/8" and the overall length of the shank measuring from the back of the face plate to this point right here is going to measure 3 3/16". Again, it's a very simple installation. All you've got to do is place the gasket over your shank, slide the shank into the trailer hitch, and you're going to push it in until you get your pinholes to line up with one another and then install your hitch clip and pin or your hitch pin and lock. That's going to do it for today's look at part #AMG102809.

For the price I expected better quality. The powder coating seems to be okay. However, there are pits in the chrome plating of the USAF logo. The pits are not noticeable at a distance, so I didn't return it. Now, as an afterthought, I'm hoping it doesn't rust. Apparently there's not a standard distance to the pin hole in 2" receivers. I had to add 1/2 inch of gasket material in addition to the gasket provided to stabilize the cover in my receiver.
Still looks great!
The Arizona State University hitch cover I purchased through etrailer matches every detail of my Jeep Wrangler and allows me to show off my school pride in style.
Customer service has been excellent; however, the trailer hitch cover is starting to show wear less than a year after purchase. I would not purchase this item again due to the premature wear.
Thanks for your message and following up a year later! I have purchased two of these hitch covers for both of our cars. I'll attach pictures. I believe the first one I bought was 2 years ago and the second was a year ago. The two year old cover has shown a great deal of rust and deterioration over those two years. The other one is in much better shape but I would expect the same to happen over this next year.
I do live in Pittsburgh, a very rainy and humid climate for most of the year. Obviously in winter months, we get a lot of snow and ice with the roadways covered with salt. I'm sure those factors contribute to the rusting of this product.
I'll be happy to log in and make a review post similar to above if you would like me to. I have been a happy customer of yours with a few of these similar products.

It took to long to get to us via mail and I wish the product had multiple holes giving us the option of adjusting it to fit the hitch receiver better.
I took about a month shopping before I purchased. The one thing I didn't want was a cheap plastic hitch cover representing my team. I love this hitch cover because it is high quality and really stands out. After having it a year it still looks like it did the day it arrived. Thank you etrailer for outstanding quality. Did a lot of research on this product and it came through with flying colors. I ordered this product and one other from another site. This cover was superior in thickness size and chrome. Also the pin opening is large enough for standard 4" pins. If you are considering this product I suggest you don't wait. As for the company, great service. I was contacted shortly after the purchase, tracked the item and was contact about satisfaction after delivery. Outstanding. Will not return item but with their attention to detail I am sure if there were anything of issue the company would be on top of it. Thank you I will be ordering from you again.

Love this hitch cover. It is exactly what I was looking for.
Before I took it out of the box, I could tell that this was a high quality product. The colors are bright and the fit is perfect. The foam seal to keep water out of the hitch was an unexpected nice touch. It looks great on my truck.
Be advised, it does not come with any kind of retaining device, you will need a hitch pin to keep it in place. I purchased a locking pin because something as nice as this would probably get stolen.
I love the emblem. Exactly as shown in the photos and the construction of this is solid.
My only problem is that the length of the tube does not allow me to use it when I have the anti-rattle collar installed. I have to remove the anti-rattle when not towing. I would love it if there was an option for a tube that is maybe 1 inch longer.
