Product was shipped promptly and in excellent condition. All of the information regarding this product was very helpful, especially the video. I was worried that I needed a heavy duty hitch system but after watching the informational video, I was sure this would work for my set up for towing. 683147

48" Titan hitch box extension on 2011 F-350 Dually 413413

I ordered this from etrailer and it was fast and simple. I got it within days. I think this will work well with my pickup camper and trailer combo. The only problem I had was that there was too much paint on it. So much so that it would not fit into my receiver. I am sure they are mass produced, but they should have someone put a micrometer on them once in awhile. I have a 2018 Ram 3500 with a 2 1/2 inch receiver. I tried a friends exact same extension and it slid in easily. Oh, well. I made it work anyways. 708191

A good, sturdy hitch extension. Cuts easily to desired length with an angle grinder and a cut off wheel. I chose to add turnbuckles for additional stability. 784891

Extension is very heavily built. Had a little trouble getting it in the hitch on my 2019 F-350. Hoping it was due to new paint and the cold weather making the hitch slightly smaller. 739976

very happy now. the first product i received would not fit my hitch. the flange on the extension was not perfectly aligned and my curt brand solid steel hitch would not enter at all. i have some hollow reese hitches (which are just a hair thinner) and they fit but it was misaligned just enough that the curt brand hitch would not go in. on top of that problem, the product was terribly damaged from shipping. i was upset and intended on cutting the bar to remove the flange until coincidentally etrailer customer service reached out to me unprompted. after i explained the problem, they very quickly provided a return label and shipped a new replacement product. the new extension works perfect and it was shipped without one scratch on it. very happy now. 695189

Excellent service from etrailer but a problem with the machining of the extension. Pin holes didn't line up correctly with holes in my hitch but a little attention from my Dremel tool remedied the problem. Maybe if I had a Reese hitch it would line up but working with factory Ram hitch. Overall seems to be a heavy duty extension that will do what I need it to do, fishing boat with slide in camper. 617142

I purchased the hitch extension to accomendate our bike rack to go on the back of our truckcamper. I also purchased the bike rack and steps at all work perfectly together. The extension is very heavy duty and can be used for towing a boat. The only con was not the extension it was the packageing it beat itself up. I also added turnbuckles and safety chain and electrical extension. 602840

I give this 5 stars for its robust design and functionality. It was not an easy install though. The 5/8" pin hole on my hitch did not line up very well with the pin hole on this hitch extension. In all fairness, it could have been my hitch, although other extenders I tried did line up...We use this to tow a 4000 lb jeep behind a truck camper with a 2016 Ram 3500 dually. 581652

  • Weight Distribution Hitch with Sway Control Compatibility with Pole Tongue Enclosed Trailer
For your 24 foot enclosed trailer, the photo shows only a pole tongue and not an a-frame. If this is correct, you can use the Pole-Tongue Adapter for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems - 14,000 lbs GTW, 1,400 lbs TW # EQ95-01-5950 with an Equal-i-zer weight distribution system. Another option is the Reese Pole-Tongue Adapter for Weight Distribution Systems - 7,500 lbs GTW, 750 lbs TW # RP3280 which is compatible with many different systems that have sway control integrated. It looks like you're trying to get a good sized hitch extender for your 2018 Ram 3500. The Titan Hitch Box Extension for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches, 41" - 48" Long part # RP45018 is designed to fit any 2.5" x 2.5" hitch it then reduces the opening at the end to 2" x 2" for use with many different accessories. • How to Get More than 16 inches of Hitch Extension from 2019 Ford F-350 and Tow 7,000 lb Trailer
The only way to get that much extension and still have capacity for a 7,000 lb trailer is to first install a Torklift SuperHitch on your 2019 Ford F-350 as the factory hitch option is not going to work. So for that you'd want the part # TLF1008-30. With that installed you could then use the 21 inch hitch extender part # TLE1521 which would give you the capacity and extension you are wanting. This really is only option for what you are looking to do that is both safe and is overall a clean...

Since you already have a 2.5 inch hitch you can use a hitch extender like the part # RP45018 to give you an extension of between 41-48 inches as needed. Assuming you have a short bed 2014 Ram 3500 dually with a 6.7 Cummins and no running boards the frame tie downs you'd need are part numbers # TLD2131 and # TLD3109. If your truck is a different variation though let me know and I'll come up with a better solution.

For a camper that extends 40 inches past the rear of the vehicle the Reese Titan Extender part # RP45018 that you referenced would be what you need. This fits 2-1/2 inch hitches like your truck has and has a 4k capacity when used in the longer 48 inch length or 5k when used in the 41 inch length. I wouldn't recommend adding the variable of a long ball mount with a shorter extension when the Titan makes the most sense and will work well.

  • Why the Weight Carrying Rating is Higher on Longer Titan Hitch Extender # RP45018 than Short One
I ran this by my contact at Reese. This is a little tricky but I can explain. If you look at the pictures I have included for each Titan Hitch Box Extension (# RP45018 and # RP45292) you will notice that the distance between the 2 hitch pin holes is different by 3 inches. On the longer extension the distance between the furthest out hole and the end of the receiver is longer which allows it to carry more weight at 41 inches. The 3 inch difference is the key factor.
