Question:
I am looking for an AC/ Heat unit to replace factory for a 2005 Forest River Wildwood. Would you have anything like that? If so how hard would it be to change out current unit? My compressor has gone bad so I would like to upgrade while Im up there.

We sure do Tim! To upgrade your 2005 Forest River Wildwood's AC unit, I recommend one of the following GE systems.
Ductless - 15,000 Btu GE Appliances Low-Profile RV AC w/ Heat Pump item # GE58RR in black or item # GE98RR in white
Ducted - 15,000 btu GE Appliances Low-Profile RV AC w/ Heat Pump item # GE26RR in black or item # GE38RR in white
All of these systems come with a new 15,000 btu AC unit with a built in heat pump, an air distribution box, controller, and wall thermostat. Which one you need is going to depend on color preference and whether or not your Wildwood has air ducts or a ductless orientation where the air comes directly out of the air distribution box mounted to the ceiling.
These kits come with everything you need to complete the installation and you can reuse your existing AC unit and thermostat wiring. This won't be too hard of a swap out. The most difficult part will be getting the old AC off of your roof and down to the ground and the new AC up there.
What kind of climates do you typically camp in? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.
