You don’t have to sacrifice style to carry your gear. This completely hidden hitch keeps the cross tube concealed behind the rear bumper, so your vehicle keeps that clean, from-the-factory look. When you’re not hauling bikes or cargo, the 2" receiver detaches with no tools, leaving nothing in sight. It’s the perfect way to keep your ride looking unmodified while still being ready for adventure.

Mounting and removing the rack receiver takes only seconds. Just pop the base into the stainless steel center block until it latches, press the lock to secure it, and you’re set. When it’s time to remove it, unlock and twist the handle to release. The included hitch plug seals the opening when not in use to keep dirt and debris out. It’s a smart design that makes setup and storage a breeze.

Built with durable stainless steel construction and a black powder coat finish, this hitch is ready for regular use with bike racks or cargo carriers. The sturdy center block adds solid support for accessories and helps protect against corrosion. With a maximum tongue weight of 350 lbs, it meets SAE J684 safety regulations for confidence on every drive.
This setup is designed for hitch-mounted accessories only, but if you decide to tow later, there’s an easy upgrade path. The towing kit (391CONVA7?– sold separately) adds a ball mount with a 2" hitch ball for up to 3,500 lbs gross trailer weight. It’s a flexible way to expand what your hitch can handle without changing your clean hidden design.

Excellent hitch assembly after we added an anti-vibration collar.Very expensive, but I haven't priced one in a long time and it seems that the mere mention of Mercedes Benz doubles prices! Installed, the hitch and scooter carrier set me back more than $2,000 to be mounted on a 15 year old car! The 2" tube opening is a bit too loose. I'm sure that is to make it easier to install the carrier's connector. The only problem I have is not the hitch assembly, but my car and I will have to live with that. The 2011 MB E-350 sits very low so with the carrier mounted, its rear edge is awfully low to the ground. A good sized pothole, or dip bangs it into the ground. I use a strap hooked to the car's trunk to raise it up, but it is still low. I am very careful backing as I'm afraid that digging it in on a low spot could damage it, the hitch, whatever is on the ground and probably my suspension as well.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed review David! This will be most helpful to others, especially if ground clearance is a major concern. Glad you use a strap, as most do not. Glad we had the right fit so you can get your scooter around =)
