Fully welded vehicle trailer hitch is strong and durable. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

If you’re debating between this, the Curt, or GM hitch for your Equinox EV then stop and get this Draw-Tite hitch. It’s substantially cheaper than the one from GM and only needs a small cut in the bumper. I originally bought a Curt hitch and was disappointed that the holes didn’t line up plus I think it would not be very strong given its attachment point. This Draw-Tite installed without issue. Removing the bumper is the most difficult part of the install but even with that it took me about 2 hours from start to finish. A cordless ratchet is a great help for the 15+ screws Just take your time with the bumper to avoid scratches. I am looking forward to using this with a 1,000 lb trailer.
I would give eTrailer an A+ for fitment, A+ for the installation video, and A+ for the product itself.
I installed this hitch on my 2025 Chevy Equinox EV, which is still very new to the market. Because of that, I was honestly a little hesitant to order at first, since exact fitment information was limited. However, after watching the installation video, I felt much more confident moving forward.
My biggest advice is to follow the video closely. If needed, watch it more than once. The video specifically mentions being careful with the plastic clips, and that advice is spot on. They can break easily, so I highly recommend using a plastic trim removal tool. I did, and had no issues at all.
A couple of extra tips that helped me:
Use the box to keep all the bolts organized.
When removing the lower plastic panel, count the bolts as you go. The first time, I removed 14 bolts and forgot about the 2 hidden ones. I’ll include a photo to point those out in case anyone runs into the same issue.
Other than that, the install went smoothly. Once the trim is cut, you can’t even see it, and the final result looks clean and factory-like.
Overall, excellent product and excellent support from eTrailer. Highly recommended

This is great to hear, and it looks great installed! I am glad our video was able to let you feel better about getting the hitch. The trim removal tool is simple but makes a huge difference, I appreciate you installation feedback. I am sure someone down the road will find it useful. What are you planning on using the hitch for?
(not yet installed) product seems fine EXCEPT as others have noted many times, the finish was all dinged up, paint flaking off in many locations. Will need to be refinished with a cold-galv paint prior to install.
Arrived well wrapped, a couple paint chips on top mount edges which i touched up. Instructions along with YouTube made install go ok.
This review is for the Draw-Tite model 76655 hitch installed on a 2025 Chevy Equinox EV. It's the third hitch from etrailer.com after two failed attempts with the Curt hitch for my car. The Draw-Tite worked fine I would've given it five stars if it had a better paint job.
The installation helped considerably by going to Draw-Tite's website and tracking down their .pdf version of the instructions which had pictures much easier to understand. My car also needed a trailer wiring module because it didn't come with the optional "Trailering Wiring Provisions". They sell the Curt #59236 here at etrailer.com and the Equinox was surprisingly easy to wire up compared to the Bolt I did several years ago. You can find pictured and video instructions for installing the taillight converter on the internet.
This was packaged in plastic wrap which caused the powder coat to chip off wherever it contacted something hard. This opens the hitch up to rust everywhere the powder coat is chipped off.
Hitch worked great! Instructions could have been more clear. Was manageable but a lot more guessing/estimation for what something meant, or where the 12 clips were (and how they released) when the instruction line says 'undo'.
Quick delivery and the hitch fit perfec tly!
Well built hitch!
Some spots paint was missing. Used undercoat to cover. Otherwise, received in timely manner, most difficult part, taking the bumper off, installed easy.
Install more complicated than most but great directions and love the look when done
Works great on my 2025 Equinox EV.
Great hitch for the price - mounted at a better place than the Curt hitch for my Equinox EV. I did grind down the welds on it to make it sit flush against the car frame as noted in the Equinox EV online forum, but not sure if it's necessary. The most difficult part is working the plastic trim pieces off without breaking clips - look up some how-to guides online to make it much easier. Overall a very doable project, and much better price than the GM hitch.
Excellent service !!
