    Hey Terry, the install time for the EcoHitch part # EH23KR that you mentioned is right at 2 hours. This hitch is rated for towing up to 6,000 lbs but it's always worth check to see if the vehicle is rated differently. I did some checking and your 2025 BMW iX is rated to tow up to 5,500 lbs so this hitch would be a great option. Do you have trailer wiring picked out already? The only hitch we have for your vehicle that is not rated for towing would be the Curt part # C87NR.

    Yes, it will. I checked with Curt and they said the Curt Rack Receiver item # C87NR will not block the liftgate function. Typically what happens is the range is lost right around the 2" receiver but based on where the receiver extends out from within your trim I would not expect there to be any issues.
