The hitch for my wife's new GLA 250 was a perfect fit. I had a local mechanic install it. He charged 1 hour's labor and said it was a piece of cake. He's installed other Curt hitches for himself and customers. The fit on the car is also perfect with everything out of sight except the receiver. The cross frame is invisible and the hitch is recessed about 1 inch behind the plane of the bumper contact surface, so no scratches on another car with a gentle touch, not that we park by contact. The GLA has a rear view camera.
Bought the hitch for my Mercedes GLA-250 4-Matic to tow my utility trailer and bike rack. Both work well with this hitch. Installation is relatively easy if you follow the directions. Watch the wheel trim while removing rear fascia, pull carefully so you don't bend the plastic out of shape.
The results performed and looked great. I recently towed 1800 lbs without any issues on my utility trailer. Great buy for the money.
I wouldn't say installation was easy but if you're a handy person it's not difficult. The instructions and pictures provided by etrailer made the hitch installation on my gls 250 pretty simple. Took us about an hour between 2 people. Thanks etrailer for a wonderful experience.
I was advised by etrailer personal that C13197 could be installed to QX30S without any fascia cut modification. Unfortunately, it requires to cut not only the heat shield but also the rear fascia for QX30S to install this receiver. Fortunately, you wouldn't realize the cutting modification from outside, but you need to cut a lot from inside. The item itself can be strong enough for the spec, but I don't believe the car can go with the described tongue weight since the mounting plate for the car side is 2-3mm only. So I will use only for pulling. After the installation, the hitch receiver hight would be around 11 inches from the ground.

Unfortunately this trailer hitch does require heat shield and fascia trimming for installation. The linked installation instructions cover the required trimming to these pieces. In many cases, the capacity of the hitch is higher than the capacities of the tow vehicle. It is always important to know your vehicles tongue weight and towing capacity and stay within those capacities.

The trailer hitch I ordered for my 2016 Mercedes GLA250 was the perfect solution for mounting a bicycle rack on my car. As indicated, the level of difficulty to install the hitch was high. I considered taking my car to a mechanic or body shop to perform the work but decided to tackle it myself. I have a broad assortment of tools and have done work on my own vehicles for years so opted to take on the job. The most difficult part of the installation for me was figuring out how to release the various body component clips and fasteners to remove the rear fascia. The hitch came with a set of step-by-step instructions with photos. Tackling the job myself would have been prohibitive without the detailed steps for disassembly and reassembly. I did find a few discrepancies in the instructions regarding bolt and socket sizes, but that was minor. The hitch is well designed for my vehicle and works perfectly with my bicycle rack. I have installed hitches on other SUVs I've owned which were a simple matter of bolting the hitch to the frame. Installation on my GLA250 was a much more involved process. If you plan to add a hitch to your GLA250 and are not comfortable working on cars, you might consider having a mechanic or body repair person do the work.

Still performing at expected
Read this - extra information not provided in installation instructions.
This hitch is fine. Hole spacing was just barely accurate (needed to use dead blow mallet to mount to bumper). Instructions are missing two critical fasteners. They are mounted from the inside under the plastic shroud on the back of the cargo area. You'll need to create a modified tool (metric deep socket with hose (1/2 garden hose worked for me).
Everything was packaged neatly and arrived in great condition. The instructions where very close. There were 3 points on each wheel well not mentioned, but not difficult to adjust to. Everything was snug and went back perfectly. I was able to complete the install in about 1:45. It was challenging but because of the preparation and tool list, everything went well. Take it nice and slow and careful. Started using the hitch 10 minutes after completion.
Hitch was installed on 2017 GLA FWD. Installation was straightforward, following instructions. It wasn’t overly complicated, but it did take me a little over 3 hours. I did need an extra set of hands when putting on the bumper. I didn’t have to lift the car. There was enough space for me to get under the car. Overall works great.
etrailer was great. the hitch came in a timely manner. The box was a little banged up, but the hitch was fine. The hitch looks to be very well made. And while I did not install it myself, the shop that did, said it was somewhat difficult to install. that very well could be the nature of the vehicle though. My vehicle is a Infiniti QX-30, which is pretty much a Mercedes GLA 250. The one problem I have with the hitch is it hangs down too low. They could have probably moved it up about an inch and it would look much nicer, and would have less clearance issues.

Product works as designed. One thing that happened afternoon installation was water was puddling in back floor. Took it to dealer and tje said was the hitch cuasing leaks. This is bull. When i started taking apart I noticed a rubber plug was missing from behind taillight. Must have fallen during installation. So be aware. Mercedes excuse for not wanting to honor warranty.
