Video Transcript for All About the Camco FasTen RV Leveling Blocks w/ Carrying Handle

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number CAM44512. These are the Camco FasTen RV leveling blocks. The interlocking stackable blocks are designed to sit under your RV wheels for extra lift and leveling. You can position beneath jacks, stabilizers, or trailer wheels. They do have the interlocking design so that's going to ensure that the blocks won't shift as you drive up on them or once you are parked on them. The interlocking design is strong and durable. Each one is going to be made from a durable polypropylene plastic.

You don't have to worry about strength and durability because these are going to be able to withstand the weight that you are able to put on them. They're not going to crack, bend, break, or anything like that, or crush. Nice strong durable construction. They're made right here in the USA. One of the new things about this kit is that you can stack these any way that you want. You're going to get ten leveling blocks with this part number.

I have it set up in a very traditional structure, but again you don't have to do it this way. You want to do it whatever way is going to work best for your application, and this system lets you do that because you can stack and create the perfect structure, leveling platform, or whatever that you need for your particular application. These are going to be bright yellow in color so they are highly visible. Each block is going to be a square design so it's going to measure eight and a half inches by eight and a half inches. It's going to measure an inch in a half in thickness. We're going to have an inch right here and then another half inch on top, that stackable design.

So each block is going to provide one inch of lift. So you want to be sure when using these not to exceed a total height of four and a half inches. This does have a storage option that way you can easily move it to a storage compartment on your camper, or trailer, or RV, or whatever it is that you have. All you have to do is stack all the blocks. Now again they're all going to be yellow except for one. One of them is going to be black in color.

The black one is going to go on the bottom of the stack, and that's because in the center area it has a threaded portion. So that threaded portion is going to accept the threads on the T-handle right here. So we're going to stack them up, and then we can place in our T-handle directly through this center area right here and we can start threading that down. As that threads, that's going to keep all of our blocks together so that way we can easily transport it without losing any blocks. And then, when we're ready to store it, just push that down and it makes for a nice compact storage. With it like this it's going to give us an overall height measurement . That's going to give us a measurement of about ten and a half inches. That's going to do it for today's look at part number CAM44512.

Used these extensively during our inaugural 4 month trip last summer in our new 5th wheel. While they do get the job done, they tend to collect small rocks in the openings that then cause the plastic to bend out of shape, and once bent, you can't unbend so that when you go to stack them, the bent plastic prevents you from stacking. You can still put on very bottom of stack, but as soon as the 2nd one gets bent, you are out of luck. I found that by the end of the trip I was using less and less and just used some 2 x 6 wood pieces instead.

Hardly use a year in. Besides the issues noted in my initial review, I found that they are not the best when it comes to leveling in an uneven site, so we switched to using the curved ramp type levelers, and its WAY better, super easy to use and gets the RV mostly level every time. We still use these on occasion as needed as back-up, but if I had it to do all over again I would have just started with the ramp type.

by:

They are what they look like, and didn't smash or break with the weight of our trailer, so they're OK.

by:

They scooted forward and a couple broke while I was trying to pull up on them.

Yikes, thats terrifying! I have gotten in contact with the manufacturer to see if they have any suggestions to prevent this from happening again. Luckily, Camco offers a pad the can be placed under the leveling blocks that will help prevent the blocks from scooting on hard surfaces. They will interlock with these leveling blocks that you already have. We do not carry it on our site, but Camcos part # is 44601, Camper/RV Leveling Block Flex Pads; and you can find them online or in your local hardware store. I have also seen them at multiple Walmart locations. As for your broken blocks, let me check on that. This has a one year warranty, however, I am looking into whether this would be covered under warranty. Bear with me a bit longer.

They were useless broken pieces and I tossed them out. I believe about 4 broke.

Awe man, I am sorry they got broken beyond repair. Okay, so per the manufacturer, they are able to replace the broken blocks as a courtesy this time. I have informed them that the you no longer have the broken blocks and they said that even without the original blocks, they can send you out the 4 replacements. I will let you know as soon as they get sent out.

You have “earned” my loyalty! etrailer is my go to provider for so many of my I on going needs, beyond just my Airstream. Thank You and God Bless!

by:

These blocks come in a nice clean package making them easy to transport and store. I purchased two sets because one set isn't quite enough when attempting to level a double axle trailer on a significant slope, something we run into regularly at the State Park Campgrounds. No problem with the quality/durability of these blocks to this point.

Im still very happy with this purchase. The blocks are holding up nicely after 30+ nights of camping. I would purchase them again.

by:

These are a little lightweight for use under the front wheels of my 23' Class C (where the motor is) and tend to squish if the ground is uneven. Once they do that once, it's tricky to assemble them again because, like Legos, the fit of one to another is quite precise and if they get deformed it's a headache. Probably better suited for a lighter-weight application, or a very stable surface underneath. Thinking of carrying a short 2 x 10 to use as a base.

After a year still using them regularly. If I were to buy again Id skip the single-wide version and get just the black, double-wide. Find them to be more stable.

by:

Like the lightweight leveling blocks. Only downside is that the hollow spaces lets in bugs. Not every campground, but at times I had all kinds of little creatures making homes in the cavities. I just make sure to whack the blocks a few times with my brush and I am good. I have two bundles and that quantity has served me well for a year. I do use some 4 x 4 blocks once in a while if the site is very uneven.

Still working well. Didnt realize that the trailer leveling jacks should be extended more so I am using a few list blocks at each corner

by:

Very versatile product. Can’t have too many of these.

by:

Light weight and stores nice

by:

The leveling blocks work great and help level the trailer when the parking pad is not as level as needed.

by:

The best thing about ordering from etrailer is that they are very knowledgeable and they vet their products, you never know what you might get from other online sites like [online store] etc... And etrailer's support is excellent if you have questions or need help or advice! These came in just like I expected!

by:

I like these so much, I ordered a second stack! Full Disclosure: I saw folks using these and I always thought, "Why am I gonna pay good money for what free blocks of wood do just as well?" Anyway, these are lighter, hold together in a stack, easy to see, easy to store, and mostly they're a LOT CLEANER than blocks of wood.

by:

Easily assembled, nice handle to keep all together, solid construction. The one drawback is be sure to set the base(s) on something solid - NOT gravel - as the weight of the RV will mold the bottom to the shape of the surface underneath; if it's uneven, that makes for a difficult time restacking them!

by:

Everything arrived quickly as promised. The only problem was the packaging. In addition to tapping up the box, it was also stapled and they were a giant pita to remove. I thought it was overkill but you may have a policy to do that based on box weigh. Love the new style leveling blocks and the tee handle for storage.

by:

I use these leveling blocks to complete the stabilization of my RV. This is a highly recommend product.

by:

These are a great product. It took a little bit to figure out the puzzle of putting them together as a ramp, but well worth the money! This company has the best old fashioned customer service!

We use these blocks every time we camp, and they are still the best.

by:

Everything that I ordered came within a reasonable time and in good shape. However, I was astonished by the size of the box it came in! The box was at least 3x the size of the material in it. The rest was filled with crumbled brown paper. Box was sealed closed with close to 50 industrial staples making it difficult and hazardous to open. I think an environmentalist would be appalled at the over packaging. Suggest the packaging dept. get a bigger variety of boxes to ship materials in. Otherwise, e-Trailer is my choice of camping and trailer supplies.

by:

leveling blocks worked well for us and easy to use.

by:

The leveling blocks work great. They work as well as the more expensive ones I purchased years ago.

by:

Grat blocks. Interlocking. The handle that Collapse is nice its makes for a nice square package for storing. Great that it also comes in a double wide also.

by:

I have now used etrailer.com on 2 separate purchases and found the service exceptional. Products are delivered on time and pricing is always a key with so many options online. etrailer.com price guarantee gave me the comfort to continue to use them for my RV needs.

Well done.

by:

Everything came as described, and I am so happy with the products and service! etrailer.com is my definite go to!!!

by:

These are lighter than wood blocks and easier to lock together, needed an extra set for the few times you have to have a little more height.

by:

Great blocks for Jack and level stabili zers.

by:

Order arrived quickly, leveling blocks sturdy and easy to use.
