Today in our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, 2500 HD we'll be test fitting the weathertech side window air deflectors with dark tinting. Part number WT80740. These also come in a light tint, with part number WT70740. The reason you want the weathertech window visors on your vehicle is it allows you to have your window partially down to let air flow in and keep the bad weather out, such as rain or snow. This is how the views looks like from inside our vehicle looking out. As you can see it's very sleek, and we have a nice little gap here to let air flow in, but still keep the weather elements out of the vehicle. It's a quick, easy installation, with no modifications required to the vehicle.
With our drive's side, already installed, we'll show you how to do the passenger side, so with our window rolled down, I'll take the front edge of our window visor, and stick it into our window channel here. With this edge here on the bottom of the visor, make sure it sits on the top of the channel of the window sill. We'll slide it into place. We don't slide it all the way in. First we have to bend the visor a little bit, it's very flexible so don't worry about breaking it. Now with our back end inserted, we can push our visor down, and go work it's way up into the channel.
We will take the provided tool and push it between the window channel and the visor and work our way down. It's just to help insure that it's seated. Now, in order to complete the installation, we need to roll the window up and down fully five times. All right, with our window rolled up for the fifth time, that will complete our installation and that will complete our test bit of the Weather Tech side window air deflectors with dark tinting. Part number WT80740 on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD.
