Hey David! The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13029 you were looking at fits all models of the 97 Tahoe, including your 2-door 4WD. This has a bolt-on installation and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Do you plan on towing? If so, you will also need Curt # C55319 for a 4-way. This will allow you to power your trailer's signal lights. For a ball mount, check out the etrailer # e67DR

Hey David, how did the Curt hitch work out on your Tahoe? Did the wiring harness and ball mount setup meet your towing needs? Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same vehicle.
