I read that this was a simple bolt on hitch. 45 min to do it all. My GF called our garage and scheduled am appointment to put it on. Well I opened the box, Read the how to and SHIT..35 min, No floor lift or special tools it was done , on and Solid. The only slow down was rust and crud in a threadded bolt hole in a 2013 rusty hole. If you can tuen a bolt , You can do this add on.

It works great. We have had no issues.

This was so easy to install, but when the video says use a small brush to clean out the threads in the frame DO IT, I forgot that step ( DUH) other that it still only took about 30 to 40 minutes start to finish including clean up

I purchased this hitch to haul our road bikes and fat bike, the price was great and the installation on the Mitsubishi was pretty simple as long as you remember one step they tell you in the instructions and thats to take a small brush and clean out the mounting holes in the frame other than that it was a very simple install, about 45 minutes with the brain fart, 30 without, thanks for a great product at a very affordable price.

Only problem is, hard to get to carridge bolt to use torque wrench for torque spcification.

I got this for my '15 Mitsubishi Outback Sport to haul bicycles around with. This is an excellent product - perfect fit and superbly finished. For just over $100 it is an amazing deal and to offer free shipping on such a heavy item is even more amazing. I installed it by myself and it took about 45 minutes - it would have been much easier and quicker if I'd had a helper - someone to hold it in place while I slid the bolts in - probably 30 minutes in that case. The instructions are some of the best I've ever seen and were written for my specific vehicle.

I can see that the biggest challenge for some would be cleaning out the threads for 2 of the bolts if your car has been subjected to a bunch of grime and de-icing chemicals - mine wasn't bad at all but I cleaned them out with a little wire brush anyway. You really need a 1/2" torque wrench for this project - from memory I think the 4 big nuts when you're lying on your back under the car.

The hitch sits up out of the way under the bumper and looks good.

Very happy with this purchase and the excellent service I received from etrailer.com

Fit like a glove and installed easily and blends in nicely.
No 5 star but solid 4 7/8. Like every other hitch I’ve owned (there has been many) within 6(ish) months the paint. starts to crack, rust in the welds. Knowing this I pay attention to the area but they still do it.

I see that you are located in Florida. Your hitch could be corroding within the 6 month time frame due to the salt water. We recommend that you spray down your hitch periodically with fresh water to help maintain the hitch from fast corrosion. I have also provided a link below with a help article for your reference on protecting your hitch.

Used an artist brush to heavily saturated in the cracked paint areas with rust oleum not long after I wrote review. Something Ive had to do do with every hitch I ever owned. Rest of the hitch still looks great because its run through car wash at least twice a week with Platinum level wash.

I was very impressed with the quality of this hitch. A bonus was that it was very easy to install and total installation took less than 30 minutes. It looks great on the car. I would recommend this hitch to anyone.

  • Will Trailer Hitch Void the Warranty for a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
I have both class II and class III trailer hitch options for a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C12048 for class II and part # C13079 for class III are what I recommend as they are both great bolt-on options assembled here in the USA. In order to complete your towing setup you'll need the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter part # C59236 for models without LEDs or part # C56127 for models with and the etrailer Ball Mount Kit part # 989899. • Will the Curt Trailer Hitch Fit a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12048 hasn't been officially confirmed to fit the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport model year as of yet (July 2023) but since it fits the same vehicles as the Draw-Tite alternative, I see no reason why it won't fit your vehicle as well.

  • Ground Clearance on 2011 Outlander with Curt Class II Receiver # C12048 Installed
As we have not yet had the opportunity to install that particular hitch on a 2011 Outlander, I do not have any exact measurements available for you. However, Curt tells me that when the # C12048 is installed, the top of the receiver will be within 1/2 an inch of the bottom of the fascia under the bumper (see photo). The outside dimension of the class II receiver is 2 inches, therefore the bottom of the receiver will be approximately 2-1/2 inches below the bottom of the fascia. To determine...

  • Trailer Hitch for 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander
If you have a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander that's a PHEV, the etrailer # e48KR is fit. • 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver For a 2020 Mitsubishi RVR For Carrying a Biker Rack
I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12048 for your 2020 Mitsubishi RVR. This has the 1-1/4" square tube receiver you are looking for and will bolt on with no drilling required. You will want to install the 4-Way # C59236 when you install the receiver as your bike rack may require some Auxiliary Lights # C53201 if your bikes impair the view of your tail lights.
