If you’re looking to haul a small trailer or mount a bike rack, this Class I hitch gets the job done. With a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening, it’s ideal for light-duty towing or adding accessories like cargo carriers and two-bike racks. It’s rated for up to 2,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 200 lbs tongue weight, giving you solid performance for weekend trips or hauling gear without overloading your vehicle.
This hitch is made from precision, robotic-welded steel that maximizes strength and ensures a consistent, custom fit. The gloss black powder coat over a protective base coat fights off rust and keeps it looking sharp through years of use. The round-tube design gives it a clean appearance that blends nicely under the bumper while still being tough enough for daily towing or accessory mounting.
Installing this hitch is straightforward and doesn’t require any welding. It’s designed as a bolt-on setup that lines up for a precise fit using standard tools right in your garage or driveway. All the mounting hardware and instructions come in the box, so you can get it on and ready to tow in just an afternoon without needing any special equipment.

Delivered on time and placed in my gara ge.
Poor fit. Had to try two to get a decent one. First one was off by a half inch! Second one was off by about 1/4”. Had to use a clamp to flex it so i could get the bolt through enough to catch the thread with the nut. Very poor quality control on these curt products. They come poorly packaged as well. Fun times. This is the only one if you have this car so you may have to buy it. So be ready for issues. You absolutely must grind a larger hole in your car to install it regardless of if you are lucky enough to get one that fits on the first go.
mounted well car hangs low when hulling scooter
Excellent response and service. Also typical. thanks
Very happy with it. Had it installed by a shop. It can be done with normal tools and loads of patience but did not feel like doing it myself. Heavy piece for sure but I am happy with the way it looks. Plan to haul my bike for the foreseeable future.
Awesome product!!
I've purchased all my hitches from etrailer. Best prices on quality product.
A perfect fit in my 201 Scion iA, the instructions were easy to follow. I use it with a 2 bike carrier and I haven't had any trouble
The hitch receiver fit perfect. The way the fish wire attached to the bolt was great and made it very easy to install. Thanks
Great product and great service it bolted right on thanks.
After reading some of the reviews, I was relieved to find out that this hitch receiver fit perfectly on 2018 Toyota Yaris IA. I need to order an adapter so I can use a 2" receiver to carry my bike rack. Looks good. Very happy with the purchase. Simple to install. I installed it myself.
Fits the good. Slight modification. I’m happy with it.
It arrived quickly. The receiver is constructed really well. The instructions were clear and the install was fast and relatively painless. The whole guide wire thing is genius!
Great product, easy to install with minor modification. This will be great to support my mountain biking hobby. No longer will i have to take my bike apart and get my car's interior dirty every time i ride!
Pros: It's a solid hitch. Definitely heavy and not going to break. I use it frequently pulling a small trailer with my Toyota Yaris. It comes with grade 8 hardware, backing plates, and wire guides to pull them through. I would purchase again.
Cons: Packaging needs improved. When I removed the hitch from the box, there were two spots where it had hit something hard during shipping, enough to chip the paint off. It should have something wrapped around it to reduce movement. That's a rust invitation in this area. I had to repaint those areas. The installation was difficult because the hitch length, and therefore, bolt holes were about 1/8" to 1/4" too short. In other words the hitch driver to passenger length dimension was too short. So when you bolt one side, the other side is short, just enough that a bolt won't go through, even if you keep the first side loose. I had to pry the left side wider, and clamp to the frame to bend it enough that the bolt would come down. Even then the bolt was at a slight angle, with not enough threads to engage the nut. If I had to do it over I would buy bolts that are about 1/2" longer to allow for slight misalignment. That way when you tighten the bolts, the hitch would align itself. It appears the welding jigs used for these is slightly short, or not rigid enough, or the steel is not allowed to cool enough after welding. But, the hitch itself is heavy duty, and I believe the subframe of my car would break off before the hitch ever did.
I ordered a 1 1/4 Curt Hitch for my 2019 Toyota Yaris LE Sedan. I’m not planning on pulling a trailer, but mostly for attaching a bike rack or bumper protector/step since I live in New York; you can have your bumper destroyed in no time here.
I had someone installed the hitch for me at a local shop. Yaris doesn’t have much clearance and you’ll need to lift the car to have more access from under in order to place the hitch in it is place. I had a coupon which covered labor, so it worked for me. The technician finished installation within 40 minutes and I was good to go. Very satisfied.
Works exactly as expected. This is my second Curt trailer hitch: and the first one for my Toyota Yaris iA (this model). I love how low profile it is, and I feel safe putting my bikes on the back of my Yaris now. I've used it just for a 2-bike rack, and the Yaris can handle the small extra weight just fine. I know the photo I sent, you can't see the hitch at all: that was the point of the photo! It's there. You can see it from the back, but I love that from the side of the car, it maintains its same sleak look.
Perfect fit , solid hitch
Paperwork for assembly had flat out lies on it (showed a picture of a bolt being threaded through a hole far too small for the bolt) For my specific car it required the entire removal of the bumper.
Hitch fit well, but arrived scuffed up moderately in a few locations that did not appear to be shipping related. All in all it looks like and feels like its good enough for the job I have for it.
